Appointed as a Senior Architect for residential, mixed use and commercial projects. In this capacity my responsibilities are as follows:

• To prepare, develop or change the concept/ space planning/ building design of any project & other related documents of design.
• Entertaining clients, vendors & contractors.
• Responsible for leading project direction as well as coordination with structural engineers, building services specialists, and various other teams to produce high quality design work in the form of client deliverable's.
• Production of unique concept design, schematic design & to lead and guide the design department.
• Site Visits

Currently serving in a Interior Fit Out Company as a Design Manager / Coordinator, following are my major duties:

 Coordinating with Client, Consultant, Manufacturer and other Contractors.
 Overseeing work on site to ensure work is done as per the drawings.
 Managing the Design studio.
 Liaison with design team to achieve deliverable's as per the targeted schedules and measuring the key progress indicators.
 Coordinating with QA/QC for material approval and with QS department to meet the project scope as per the specifications.
 Preparing request for information (RFI) for any queries or to clarify any discrepancies in the IFC drawings. Documenting & maintaining the RFI Log and their responses from the client on "4projects" for project correspondence and applying the RFI responses onto the drawings.
 Scheduling submittal drawings on excel for client convenience.
 Maintaining the Project documents such as project register, RFI log, Engineering 1 (E1) log, drawing submittals etc on excel sheet.
 Participating in weekly meetings with the client for coordination, progress and schedule.
 Coordinating & providing technical assistance to the site team for smooth implementations.
 Preparing shop and detail drawings. Coordinating interface detail drawings with other contractors.

Apart from the aforementioned professional experiences I was also involved in various freelance projects which included:

 Designing proposal & landscape as well as supervising construction of five houses.
 Interior designing of a house.
 Office layout & Interior design for an International Company “Property Finder” for their new branch office.
 Logo & Letterhead design for SKY230 USA.

While working for Edifice as Architect, following were my major duties:

 Preparation of presentation, submission, architectural & interior drawings.
 Review of working drawings, prepared by the draftsman, and checking them for any errors before submitting it to the contractors.
 Preparation of sketches and 3D views using a 3D modeling software.
 From time to time supervision of various residential & commercial construction projects to oversee their progress.
 I was also part of the team which was responsible for material selection & procurement.
 Coordinating with finance department for smooth settlement of contractor’s dues.
 Maintaining the project files and portfolios in Software and hardware form.

My core responsibilities at Usman Iqbal Design Studio as back up to Principal Architect involved:

 Providing assistance to the Principal Architect in various residential and commercial projects.
 Managing design studio in the absence of Principal Architect.
 Involved in preparing layout plans and building designs, from conceptual sketches to 3D views of Interiors and exteriors of the building.
 Dealing with the contractors, material suppliers and meeting and presenting work to the clients.
 Responsible for material selection and procurement required in various projects.

I was involved in following assignments:

Took part in designing the Girls & Boys School for earth quake victims, which was a project financed by Saudi Public Assistance for earthquake victims of Pakistan (2005).
Worked on the design & construction of NUML University - Chinese Language Department (Basement+ Ground+2 floors)
UBL Bank Barakahu. (modification of the existing layout) I visited the bank, took the relevant measurements of the existing layout for redesigning to give it a more modern and effective look.
Worked on the layout plan of Independent News Pakistan Office F-6 Markaz, Islamabad, which was destroyed in a fire and had to be repaired and redesigned.
Pakistan Academy of Letters Cafeteria.

Nature of work:
• Participated as a team leader in the documentation of Cadet College Hassanabdal, Pakistan.
• Design proposal for a Public Library in Lahore.
• 3D modeling of a guest house in Ormara.
• Site visits.
