Currently working as Project Manager for 800 MW Al-Kharsaah PV Solar Plant
Responsibilities cover both Renewable ( Solar ) & Non Renewable (Fossil Fuel) Power Projects and Desalination (MSF, MED, RO Technologies) Projects.
Prepare Specifications/Scope of work for Power and Water Production Projects.
Review and approve detailed plant designs, site supervision & monitoring, project execution, commissioning & testing of IWPP projects including Power & Water Generation/Transmission equipments upto 400 KV.
Follow up of technical & contractual issues in power and water IWPP projects and attending factory inspections and tests of major equipments and systems.
Coordinate with relevant stake holders with regard to handing over, O&M documents, As Built drawings, spare parts, training and fixed assets.
Follow up cash flow, budget allocations, invoice processing for IWPP projects and the related consultancy projects.
Attending Load/Reliability/Performance/Acceptance Tests for new units/facilities.
Monitor and supervise QA/QC systems and safety standards implementation during project execution.
Attending & coordinating with the end user departments the Annual Dependable Capacity tests for existing IWPP’s and review of the test reports over the PWPA term.
Projects involved include 2760 MW/100 MIGD Facility E IWPP Project, 800.15 DCp MW Al Kharsaa Solar PV IPP project, 2700 MW/180 MIGD Umm Al Houl IWPP Project, 2000 MW Mesaieed IPP, 2730 MW/63 MIGD Ras Laffan C IWPP, and RAF A1/A2/A3 Water Plants, 2000 M3 Abu Samra RO plant (EPC)

GREEN FIELD PROJECTS (IWPP):
▪ Prepare the water & power plants technical specifications and preliminary designs and plant
engineering of Independent Water and Power Producers (IWPP).
▪ Power and water Purchase Agreement (PWPA) technical tender documents preparation, bids
evaluation & negotiation till PWPA signing.
▪ Review and approve detailed plant designs, site supervision & monitoring, project execution,
commissioning & testing of IWPP projects and connection equipments.
▪ Projects involved include 2800 MW MARAFIQ Jubail IWPP & 1700 MW Yanbu IWPP
BROWN FIELD PROJECTS (Existing Plant Expansion):
▪ Prepare studies on energy management and optimization of power and desalination plants that
include upgrading, refurbishment, relocation and dismantling of existing power and water plants.
▪ Prepare the water & power plants technical specifications and preliminary designs and plant
engineering of Temporary power plant (660 MW) and connection equipment upto 380 KV.
▪ Prepare the technical specifications and preliminary designs and plant engineering for expansion of
existing plant with additional 2 X 250 MW STG and connection equipment upto 380 KV.
FACILITIES PLANNING DEPT:
▪ Assessing various Alternatives for supplying power to Industrial Projects (SABIC, ARAMCO & Others)
and Mega Residential Projects.
▪ Prepare feasibility report as applicable.
▪ Identify constraints/risks in the available alternatives.
▪ Present the optimal Alternative(s) considering cost & time for the project.
▪ Planning & Finalizing scope for tie in of various Industrial Projects.
▪ Confirmation of project scope, key issues, assumptions etc from key stake holders
Involved in T&D Projects Initiation & Planning, Project Executing, Project Monitoring & Control and Project Closeout
Pre-qualification of EPC Contractors.
Coordinate the preparation of contracts, technical SOW and other information required for the award of design and/or construction contracts.
Implement project plans in accordance with existing proven practices.
Site Supervision of Major projects like construction of Substations, Cable Laying, Commissioning activities etc.
Design Review
Attend commissioning and testing activities at Factories and at site.
Resolve technical and construction related problems faced at site.
Progress review, certification of payments and conduct technical and contractual meetings.
Identification and report deviations (costs, time schedule etc.) and implementation of the necessary measurements timely to achieve required results.
Carrying out Initial/Final Acceptance of completed works. Follow up with contractors for deficiencies.
Taking over, warranty period monitoring, final taking over.
Maintaining & Archiving Project records including drawings, specifications, logs, financial reports and project correspondence.
Process the ROAT (Record of Asset Transfer) assisting in the project closure.
Planning for Power System T&D network up gradation, augmentation, refurbishment etc. including but not limited to Load Forecasting, Substation Sizing, Transformer & Feeder Sizing, Optimal Switching & Contingency analysis, developing T&D system plans-both long and short term and special customers supply problems.
Preparation of conceptual & detailed proposals for T&D system expansion/ modification, including new power supply to bulk consumers. Proposals evaluating various options including Cost Benefit Analysis, Pay back period etc.
Conducting Load Flow, Short Circuit Studies using state of the art software like EDSA. PSSE, Synergy.
Hands on with preparation of EPC Contract scope of work as per Fidic / internationally recognized format.
Design of Electrical Systems: Placement of equipment, Insulation Coordination, Equipment clearances, Earthing systems, Underground cable trench, Battery Systems, safety equipment etc.
Providing consultancy/Design work for Electric Utilities/ private parties / Special Economic zones for setting up new electrical infrastructure/ Modernisation & revamping of existing systems.
Worked as a Project Leader for Carrying out numerous cable laying & substation commissioning
projects, etc at Mumbai, India. Responsibilities included direct project execution, Monitoring & Controlling the project and closeout.
