Reporting to the General Manager, I am in charge of 5 Departments (i.e Group Procurement, Sales and Marketing follow-up, Warehousing, Logistics including the Port, Clearing and Forwarding, Stock Control) representing the Company's Complete Commercial activities.

I supervise 5 Managers, 7 Section Heads and 157 staff.

Achievements:

• Until its acquisition by the new private investor (Feb-2007) Suez Steel Co was previously a Public Company producing a maximum of 100, 000 MT per annum. Chronologically, my KPIs and/or achievements were to:

a- Completely reorganize and set the Procurement and Sales procedures, strategies and reporting levels (Standard Contracts, Tendering procedure, Claims, Guarantees);
b- New warehousing management system (Coding, geographical localization, fully -Automated Re-ordering levels by stores for all consumables/Oils/Grease/Chemicals).
c- Main Raw Material Stock Control (Internal bounded warehousing system > Cash flow relief).
d- ORACLE ERP Centralized Procurement Re-ordering level (merging of 7 Plants > Inventory divided by 2)
e- Bonus Scheme (achievements and cost control were targeted)
f- Staff Training procedure (Mainly English, Basic Management and Negotiation Courses).
g- Projects procurement tracking and budgeting
h- Contractors Schedules and Claims/Penalty System.
i- Our own quay at Adabeyah-Port dredging > Bigger vessel > Freight savings
j- Finalization of our Main Raw Materials long term agreements and contracts (Iron Ore, Scrap, Limestone, Ferro-alloys…)

• I left Suez Steel Co in Dec-14 handing over a perfectly structured Commercial Department as I was looking for a new challenge which VILMEKS offered me.
