Hired by a (Taxi) company to manage their fleet of vehicles and resolve driver’s problems to maintain smooth running of the business.
Duties:
• Managing a team of approximately 45 employees.
• Layout Plans to increase sales.
• Close monitoring to personnel behavior in relation to improved services.
• Working closely with financial manager, IT department and HR department.

Driving operational improvements, maximising the value of revenue earned by the fleet whilst ensuring a tight control on operational costs. Responsible for monitoring and continually improving standards of performance and quality within the operation.

• Managed a team of approximately 116 employees in a busy work environment.
• Negotiated contracts, ensuring that they balance in value and risk.
• Established and implemented departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
• Created, managed and analysed performance data and other information.
• Ensuring that capacity and capability are continually planned.
• Encouraging, identifying and developing best practice strategy.
• Ensuring compliance to all Environmental Health & Safety goals & objectives.
• Producing Operations manuals which define how the business is to be run.
• Working closely with the Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, IT Manager& HR department.
Operations Manager for a family owned company which carried out mechanical& Body work services. We were contracted with many NGO’s humanitarian organisations UNICEF, UNDP, ADRA, IRC as well as many other customers such as the German Embassy, French Embassy, Canadian Embassy, and the British Embassy.
Duties:
• Managed 25 Variable levels of employment from technicians (Mechanics, Electricians, Body beaters/chassis repairers, Paint Sprayers), to an Engineer, Secretary, a shop floor supervisor, and a security guard.
• Negotiated contracts with organisations and provided competing offers.
• Ensured a high level of service was produced at all times.
• Ensured dead lines were met effectively.
• All parts & consumable products required were stocked to ensure easy flow of work.
