1. Take a lead in the enforcement of Lafarge safety rules and guidelines through Visible Felt Leadership (VFL) while ensuring adherence by his team.
2. Monitors the operations and optimizes all aspects of raw mill systems, kiln systems, and finish mill systems in compliance with Company quality standards and requirements.
3. Coordinates the activities of all services departments directed at keeping the production plants in good operating condition.
4. Follow operational procedures (SOPs) in the execution of all tasks in the plant.
5. Carry out equipment energy isolation according to LOTOTO procedure.
6. Receive the equipments after maintenance/repairs from execution team ensure that all post maintenance activities including cleaning by maintenance crew are done.
7. Manages the day-to-day running of the plant, on shift basis, respecting the KPIs through setting of priorities and direction to plant shift team.
8. Coordinates activities of maintenance team on night shift and call for help when needed (call out procedure).
9. Controlling of the results and initiation of corrective actions where required.
10. Participates in the planning and organization of short and long term plant stoppages.
11. Controls the re-bricking of the kiln and other works during major shutdowns.
12. Monitors the performance of contractors on the plant.
13. Controls production activities to comply with group environmental standards and maintain good housekeeping.
1 Operates all equipment within Lafarge and local environmental protection standards.
2. Controls the activities of Patrollers, Process assistants and mobile plant operation.
3 Directs “break-down” and problem solving activity including troubleshooting and determination of related overtime staffing needs.
4. Coordinates activities of maintenance team on night shift and call for help when needed (call out procedure).
5. Follows continuous quality monitoring and make necessary adjustments to system(s).
6. Serves as liaison with Automation Engineer regarding problems on major equipment.
7. Serves as Plant Emergency Response Coordinator in the event of a serious production environmental, or safety incident.
8. Champion the development/review of standard operating procedures for Production department.
9. Conducts/leads safety meetings with shift personnel
10. Monitors all radio communications for problems/difficulties in the Plant.
11. Completes paperwork and record keeping as required, including production and equipment reliability logs, work order entry, mill operating report data, etc
12. Assists in operational and safety training of old employees and induction of new employees.
13. Completes and conducts performance reviews of hourly employees in production department.
14. Provides input on departmental budget and capital expenditures.
15. Promptly reports unusual circumstances, problems or difficulties to Shift Coordinator
CO-ORDINATE THE OPERATION IN THE SHIFT OF RECLAIMER, RAW MILLS, KILN, AND CEMENT MILLS OR OTHER AREAS.
CO-ORDINATE MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES, SOLVING PRODUCTION RELATED PROBLEMS IN THE SHIFT.
OPERATE, TROUBLE SHOOT AND TAKE ACTIONS TO RUN THE EQUIPMENT ON STEADY TREND ON CONTINUOUS BASIS.
ACHIEVE OPTIMUM FUEL EFFICIENCY, POWER CONSUMPTION AND MINIMIZING MANPOWER UTILIZATION.
COST REDUCTION BY MODIFYING AND IMPROVING THE PROCESS
ENSURE QUALITY OF THE DISPATCHED PRODUCT TO CONFORM TO QUALITY SPECIFICATIONS AND IMPLEMENT SAFETY AND ISO SYSTEMS IN THE DEPARTMENT.
