Currently filling the role as finance manager of a big group and manages the accounting, finance and reporting functions of the entire group which consists of companies engaged in manufacturing, facility management, property leasing, Trading, Used cooking oil processing, Waste handling & treatment, representation business etc. Reporting directly to the group CFO. The job involves various challenging key responsibilities and accountabilities but not limited to the few which are mentioned below.
Accounts & Finance
• Overseeing and managing a team of 17 accountants and assists them in day today accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Ensure smooth monthly closing of accounts by all the related companies under the group.
• Finalization of accounts including preparation of consolidated Profit & Loss account.
• Preparing financial models as part of requesting facilities and loans from the banks.
• Responsible for all reports requested by the banks.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Head the budgeting process and its implementation in the financial system.
Reporting & Audit
• Responsible for various reports issued to the management - Comparative Income statement, Statement of financial position, Cash flow statements, projected financials etc.
• MIS reports - ProjectWise profitability, consolidated reports, variance analysis reports, ratio analysis etc.
• Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues.
• Laison with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audit.
People Management
• Directly supervise accounting staff
• Develop individuals to be motivated and take responsibility for their contributions to the team. Lead by example and delegate work effectively.
• Communicate effectively and manage successful working relationships with various stakeholders.
Worked as a senior accountant and assists the group finance manager along with managing the accounting & reporting functions of 6 companies under the holding group which is mainly engaged in media - advertising, property development, real estate brokerage, printing etc. The job involves handling the below mentioned responsibilities
Accounts & Finance
• Managing the day today accounting functions of the group.
• Overseeing the payables & receivables functions and to manage PDC’s
• Month end closing and handling of MIS reports.
• Preparation of business models for the investors.
• Preparation of financial feasibility reports for prospective investors interested in purchase, partnership of projects being developed.
Other Key responsibilities
• Managing and monitoring the private investment portfolio of the owner in the UAE.
• Assisting in Group finance manager in reporting & audit opinion of group companies outside UAE.

Accounting and Reporting
• Handling the total accounts of the division.
• Involved in the implementation of ERP system.

•Has been involved in the planning, execution and completion of the financial audits and the client deliverables for various sectors in a timely manner abiding with the client deadlines.
Filing of VAT returns
•During the field work, responsible for supervising the team on board and solving issues that arose during the tenure.
•Responsible for the review and scrutinizing of the trial balance and the individual account heads to ensure that the amounts are credible and have been supported appropriately.
•Responsible to review the company’s reports of the internal audit department to ensure that they have tested all the existing controls and have recommended for more controls if necessary.
•Has been involved in tax audits, filing of tax returns, the preparation and finalization of accounts, bank reconciliation statements and also in physical verification of inventories and fixed assets.
