As the HSE Group Manager for an oil and gas subcontractor my job regroups several tasks such as identifying best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives in order to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices facilitating and increasing a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture. Operationally speaking I conduct and/ or coordinate all staff training in areas such as general workplace H&S, risk assessment, technical advice and guidance to all Group employees regarding HSE.
I also have the duty to perform safety audits and inspect the group facilities, machinery, and safety equipment with the end goal of identifying and correcting potential hazards, ensuring safety regulation compliance in all the countries the Group operates.
Incident/ Accident, near-misses and occupational injuries investigation is also part of my job description determining causes, installing preventive measures, and managing return-to-work activities
Last but not least I’m the custodian of the Group documentation in regards to QMS taking charge of all new procedures, modifications to existing ones and external audit liaison.
