• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors
• Technical support to the construction & commissioning team to solve various engineering issues.
• Liaising with Client, Sub Contractors, OEM, Vendors etc for the job execution as per project requirement.
• Close coordination with the procurement team for the corrective and timely delivery of materials as per the project specification.
• Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
• Technical support for closing of Work Orders, TOD’s, NOD’s etc.
• Preparation of As Built Drawings as per site modification..
• Punch/Snag clearing by elaborating Technical Justification vide letters/documents, in possible cases.
• Monitoring of project activities in the perspective of ‘Contract’.
• Issue of Contract Deviation / Variation requests as required.
• Close coordination with OEM / Vendors & Client for various engineering issues.
• Coordinate with subcontractor and vendor for execution of various construction / commissioning / maintenance activities as per planned schedule.
• Providing technical input and guiding schedulers for preparing daily / weekly / monthly project schedule & progress report.
• Familiar with other heavy equipments like HRSG, Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine etc.
• Developing and implementing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for the various equipments in the power plant.
• Prepare the maintenance procedures and schedule the maintenance activities corresponding with machine manufacturer guidelines.
• Prepare the database of parts of various equipments and special tools required for the maintenance purpose.
• Preparing & review methodologies for the installation and commissioning of various equipments like Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Compressors, Valves etc.
• Solving of technical disputes by proper clarifications during execution of project.
• Good knowledge of the various equipments used in the HVAC system like AHU, SAU, chillers, fire dampers, smoke dampers, air intake louvers etc.
• Erection and commissioning of boiler their auxiliaries and all associated piping.
To handle the construction and quality control activities as specified in the Drawings and applicable standards and specifications. Construction Drawing Such as P & ID, Piping Isometrics, Equipment, Structural, GAD.
In charge of the successful completion of steam blowing.
Oversee erection and overhauling of various pumps.
Fabrication of Piping spools, documentation of History Sheet, Test Pack Clearing etc
Material Inspection, dimensional check and documentation as per Construction Material Standards such as ASTM/ASME SA106, SA515, SA516, SA105, SA312, SA240, SA234 etc and with ANSI standards of B36.10, B16.5, B16.9etc.
Preparation of overall construction program, monitoring project progress against planned schedules, analysis in the change of contract scope / delay, if any.
Overhauling of Gate Valves, Globe Valves, NRV, Valves with Actuator etc. of different sizes, Including Lapping, Leakage test (Kerosene test, Hydraulic test) .
