Design, program, simulate, and test electrical control systems for specified applications. Review P&IDs, electrical drawings, cause and effect diagrams, and function block diagrams with the customer and end user's process and controls engineers to ensure all functionality and safety requirements are met. Develop a Sequence of Operations narrative that clearly defines the functional operation. Perform Factory Acceptance Testing to demonstrate the complete functionality of the controls system to the customer and end-user including PID controls, instrumentation calibration, safety interlocks, and alarm and shutdown classifications. Provide Modbus communications and documentation for data acquisition and control via end user's DCS and SCADA. Travel to the end user's site for startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning of systems.
• Lead sales and marketing of supply, service, and retrofit solutions for ABB VFDs and softstarters, switchgear, automation services in the northern emirates, selective GCC, and African countries.
• Survey and analyze new projects for industries market with the possibility of implementing ABB applications.
• Respond to technical RFIs, RFPs, and Large-scale project tender documents and bid proposals from potential customers.
• Work closely in consultation with PM and service engineer to propose, challenge, and suggest design optimization measures to ensure we meet customer requirements/ budget and beat competitor pricing, and to ensure satisfactory delivery of site services within the planned time.
• Prepare GA drawing, single line diagram, and control wiring diagram submittals for VFDs and soft starters and in turn as-built drawings using AutoCAD 2020.
