· Managing the entire Procurement & Supply Chain Department with a team of multinational professionals.
· Define and implement policies, systems, evaluation criteria, process control, procedures and formats related to supplier management and evaluation to ensure supplier performance is as per the established standards and in compliance with overall company policies and procedures, and to enhance standardization in procurement processes.
· Evaluate supplier performance periodically based on qualitative and quantitative data gathered from all stakeholders in terms of their capabilities, quality of services, delivery timeline, workforce competencies etc. and hold regular supplier meetings to review their scorecards and identify remedial actions, if any.
· Continually sourcing out new products and suppliers whilst negotiating prices regularly in a way that contributes to the benefit of the company by attending trade shows, meetings and conferences to learn about new industry trends and making contacts with suppliers. Interview vendors and visit suppliers plants and distribution centers to examine and learn about products, services, and prices prior to pre-qualifying suppliers.
· Preparing RFQ/BOQ and evaluating high volume public tenders, limited tenders & call off tenders in line with company procurement & purchasing policies.
· Developing and managing cost effective saving strategies by tracking and reporting key functional metrics in order to minimize spending and build a culture of long term saving on procurement costs. Personally involved with finance for budgeting and forecasting.
· Monitoring constant market climate, government regulations on consumer products, brands and materials. Proficient in material and supplies analysis and foreseeing alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
· Regularly updating International shipping requirements, logistics and transportation regulations, changes and revisions.
· Preparing & submitting procurement and logistic proposals to higher management for new projects in order to expand the company.
· Ensure all supervised staff members are trained as well as cross-trained adequately.
· Skilled in working with Oracle, Microsoft word, Excel, Power point presentations and Fedelio-FMC software systems.
Handling Sales & Marketing for supplying Food items for leading 5 star hotels, leading catering company & top class Restaurants in Doha with the sales team.

Re joined Holiday inns in Salalah Oman as Maitre D' Hoter and full incharge of day to day operation of five outlets including 2 Bars and Banqueting & Catering.
Left Holiday Inns due to personal family resons and worked in Sri Lanka.
*April 1980 - Joined Holiday inn Abu Dhabi as a Waiter, since its inception.
*July 1982 - In recognition of outsanding service record was promoted to Coffee Shop Captain.
*April 1984 - Promoted as Assistant Coffee Shop Manager
*March 1985 - Promoted as Coffee Shop & Bars Manager.
*Joined as apprentice Waiter and on completion of intensive training programme, was initially appointed as casual waiter and subsequently in the permanent card of employees.
*In march 1980 service renderd during the Non- Aligned Ministerial Conference held in Colombo, at Oberoi Hotel
