Project Director, World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH):
Set up and led a team, project and infrastructure to deliver WISH, a new annual Summit aspiring to be the ‘Davos of healthcare’, under Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser as Chair of Qatar Foundation, and Professor Lord Darzi as Executive Chair. Skills and experience utilized include: team recruitment and leadership; strategic and project planning; relationship and partnership building; influencing; communications and PR; governance and budgeting; event management; and health policy knowledge. Invited-delegates at the inaugural Summit in December 2013 comprised 1, 000 of the most senior cross-sectoral influencers of health systems globally - including royalty, ministers, academics, clinicians, CEOs, NGO leaders, Ambassadors etc. - who came together at Qatar’s National Convention Center to discuss ground-breaking health policy research on uptake of innovation in key challenge areas for health systems globally.
