Managing the overall tender activities, right from the initial assessment of work till the submission. Develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for assigned estimating projects.
Key Deliverables - Estimation & Contracts Managing the overall technical and commercial responsibility of the tenders received, initial assessment of tender to check the suitability of scope, into the line of activities.
Participate pre and post bid meetings and site visit as required.
Evaluate Customer Request for Tender/Bid/Quotation documents.
Coordinate with subcontractors to receive input on pricing on labour, materials and other costs.
Build a relationship and liaise with internal departments, external suppliers, vendors and manage daily correspondence for quantities, cost and specification.
Interpret and follow company tendering processes and procedures to ensure all aspects of tender are met including relevant discipline codes and standards.
Review the inquiry documents for special requirements, distribute inquiry documents to others involved in the proposal and estimation preparation as required.
Capable of presenting a conceptual estimate based on a preliminary program as well as a detailed estimate in Excel Summary format and evaluate documents for constructability and value engineering.
Prepared bidding procedures for lump-sum public bid projects and designed various spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel to make the bid process effortless and accurate as well as developed a personal database.
Have an excellent leadership and management skills as well as exceptional negotiation and analytical skills and have been commended for being very well organized, detail oriented, self-starter, a team player and believe in my ability to get a job done with a little or no direction.
Responsible for managing estimating divisions as well as coordinating projects with a team of estimators and a design team for a small and large scale capital improvement projects ranges between 1 to 100 million dollars.
Study the tender documents, allotted to subordinates/Engineering Team for preparation of material takeoff/ bill of quantities from bid drawings, get the right source from suppliers in international and national level.
Review and analyses scopes and specifications for Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical and Civil works and services from Tender documents to be Subcontracted.
Establish Sub Contractor short listing criteria. Review and evaluates Sub contractors' capabilities, recommends Subcontractor list.
Finalizing with Top Management after reviewing final estimation with subordinates/Engineering Team.
Preparing our Estimation Package and related documents hand over to Project Team upon awarding of the project.
Prepare the cash flow/ Budget and hand over to the Project Team and Accounts Department for cost control and Credit Facilities from Bank.
The Subcontracts/Vendors Selections:
• Upon approval of the contract strategy from Project Manager, prepare compensation method, whether it can be re -measured or lump sum price or per diem rate basis and prepare the tender documents as per the project requirement. This will includes legal and financial documents.
• Select the vendors/sub contractors from our vendor list who can carry such type of projects in technically and financially . Those vendors have to comply with the client requirements.
• Prepare bidders list and evaluate their capability and submit to project management for final approval.
• Prepare draft Tender documents for project management approval and issue to the concern bidders.
• Arrange meeting and site visit and collect the technical/commercial clarification raised by bidders and obtains legal, finance and project team's responses and give reply to all bidders through proper channels.
• Collect the technical and commercial proposal from the bidders and evaluate and summarise the data from technical proposal and send to the concern team like legal, finance and project team.
• Also evaluate commercial proposals in line with budget, make a comparison table for bidders quotation and review the terms and conditions and summarize the data and submit to the project team.
• Select the 3 lowest bidders (technically qualified) and call for the negotiations with project team and summarise the final result and obtains the confirmation.
• Prepare LOI prior to letter of award depend upon the volume of the project and duration. Prepare contract documents include all aspects, like scope, drawing documents, QC, HSE, planning and schedule, all the correspondence and tender clarification response etc.
• Follow up on the submission of performance bank guarantee.
• Follow up during construction period, collect any claims and discuss with mutually. If not solve during mutually, discuss with legal departments and close it.
• Follow up with concern Depts. On the performance of the subcontractors/vendors and complete close out the project.
Preparation of Techno-Commercial Proposal of Electrical & Instrumentation works for various Lump Sum Turn Key, Unit Rates, and Maintenance Projects
Key Deliverables
The work involved in project planning monitoring, time bond completion of projects, liaison with clients and consultants and sub-contractors etc, .
The work involved in overall supervision, procurement, monitoring and execution of the installation, commission and project hand over to client for various projects like power plants, steel plants, multistory buildings, refineries and textile plant etc., .
Performing in installation and Pre-Commissioning works of power transformer up to 50 MVA, 1 1kv isolation phase duct, HV/LV Switchgear Boards, MCC Panels, Relay Panels, PLC Panels, MIMIC Panels and Control Desks etc,
The works involved in supervision of installation and the Pre Commission for cable laying works up to 1c#1200mm2 XLPE/PVC/SCUT, 230kv and fiber optic cables through underground direct buried.
Capable of electrical installation and pre - commissioning of crushers, weigh feeders, belt Weighers, belt conveyors, shuttle conveyors, stacker and reclaimers, wagon tipplers and blender reclaimers at raw material handling centre (RMHC) in steel plants.
Capable to prepare the bill of quantities from construction drawings.
Install and testing commissioning of electrical and earthing system for various industrial projects.
