Headed operations, warehouse & distribution logisitics for a Home Textiles manufacturing plant employing more than 200 employees
Charged with responsibility for managing Product Warehouse of Manufacturing plant with storage capacity of 4000MT
•Responsible for monitoring average daily dispatch of 200MTpD of DTY to more than 200 customers Pan India and Exports
•Actively involved in establishing systems for packing and warehousing in addition to managing RPM from customers
•Proactively contributed in finalization of Space for new Warehouse / Change of Warehouse space
•Distinction of initiating, designing and implementing Bar coding System for DTY carton for improving Warehousing efficiency and dispatch accuracy forensuringcustomer satisfaction. Consistently maintained 100% accuracy in inventories and despatches
Solely responsible for monitoring operations (Sales & Distribution) of FDCs at Silvassa, Daman &Vapi for POY/PET/Chips
•Responsibility for Plant receipts, Inventory management, Deliveries to more than 150 customers in Silvassa& Daman
•Coordinated closely with HO/ RO/ Customers/Transporters for orders & timely deliveries
•Interfaced with transporters, RLL & Insurance Surveyors for Transit Damage & Accident affected consignments
•Actively involved in efficient monitoring daily volumes (1000 MT)
•Regular interaction with Customers for redressal of technoc commercial issues for Silvassa region
•Constant monitoring & deployment of Fork Lifts in field & plant for timely deliveries to Customers
•Developed plans for searching, selection and established more than 10 new depotsas per business requirements
•Involved closely with handling Sales Tax & Excise related matters including RG23D submissions, Depot registrations, VAT payments, to appropriate Govt. Authorities
•Actively engaged in managing process of returnable packing material from customers for Cost efficiency
•Structured annual operational budget and implement control measures to contain expenses within defined limits
•Instrumental in commercial negotiation with existing transporters & Service providers such as Fork lift services as well as new transporters for primary and secondary transportation
•Set up necessary infrastructure for FDC operations for more than 10 depots
•Actively coordinated for Transit Damage Value Loss Assessment & recovery, Insurance Surveys
Won appreciation for streamlining Quality System in the Operations deptt of Co. and placed an effective control system in POY Spinning, PPC & Packaging. Raised systems and operations to peak performance levels through creative, hands-on leadership
