SAFETY OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES
Compile safety programs.
Practice safe working techniques.
Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.
Maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques.
Standardize health and safety in order to remain consistent.
Identify hazardous waste and disposing of it correctly.

Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance.
Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management.
Regularly inspect equipment
To ensure safety oversight on plant operations as well as inspecting oil tankers uplifting petroleum products and the emergence preparedness of fire equipment to ensure their operational functionality. To attend to all fire and safety emergencices within the plant.
l also worked for National Airports Corporations ltd from 2000 - 2018 a parastal zambian company in the aviation sector. My job involved attending to aircraft fire emeremergencies, fire safety awareness, to administer first aid to accident victim, to carry out search and rescue, to operate various rescue and fire fighting equipment, to conduct inspection of fire equipment and premises, to carry out maintenance of fire equipment in readiness for incidents.
