ALBA has a Combined Power Cycle Plant of Gas & Steam Turbine producing 2600 MW of Asea Brown Boveri ABB. for the Largest Smelter in World producing 870, 000 T of Aluminum per year. Staff reporting to me includes 2 Engineers, 2 Supervisor and Non Supervisory Staff.
• Commissioning & Maintenance of C & I systems for Procontrol P13, P14 for Alstom Gas (13D2), Steam Turbines & Boilers of ABB & Alstom & Gas scrubber, Gas reducing station and Gas Heaters etc.
• Retrofitted 5 GE Frame 5 Machines with ICS Control System based on Control Logics
• ABB-POS30 DCS System with Digital Alpha UNIX Servers with window NT Client architecture. PMS, POS20, Data Acquisition and Control of Gas/Steam Turbines. LDS System for diagnostic of Gas Turbines & PDAG System for Procontrol Logic Simulation and Data Analysis.
• Toshiba Control System replacement of Toshiba Steam Turbine.
• Commissioning of Bailey INFI 90 DCS System & Yokogawa Centum CS3000 system on Window NT 4.0 Operating system & its Hardware for Control of PS2 Steam Turbine & Boilers. Pneumatic Control for instrument & Valves etc and Hydraulic systems flow limiter, Check Valve, flow divider, accumulator, regulator, return filters, Pump & solenoid operated control valves etc for Lube oil, Power and control Oil for Gas Turbines.
• I was involved in Commissioning & Follow up, liaison with Consultant and looks after the modification on PS3 Fire System PLC & Computer of Ginger Kerr of Germany-Securiplex.
• Fire System of Morgan More using Alan Bradley PLC 5, for programming and all type fire detectors.
• Commissioning of PS3 Compressor system with Window NT Based, RS-VIEW (Visual Basic) Rockwell software, Alan Bradley PLC 5/15, SLC500 with Digital and analog input/output card, Panel View 600.
• Air Distribution/metering System with Delta V DCS/SCADA Control System with Field Bus Devices & Field Bus Technology (Pressure, Temp & Flow) of Rosemount Delta V System.
• Commissioning & Maintenance on SCS 100 SCADA system from ABB Switzerland for Rectifier Control for Aluminum Smelter to provide DC Supply and another SCS system is used for Control of ABB GIS 132 Kv Switch Gear.
• Commissioning & Maintenance on Dexterity SCADA System, April PLC PB400 (Modicon PLC- ) April 5000 PLC for 11.5 Kv Substations for Control of Sepams of Merlin Gerin France.
• I was involved in Commissioning; Follow up & in maintenance of Energy Management & Distribution Control System of ABB-SPIDER SCADA. The system consists of RTU, Front End Computer, and Tessellator of ABB Network Control-Sweden. Software modification in Power Network program, State Estimator, Gross Measurement Error, Load shedding, TVC, Short circuit Calculation, Power distribution and Load Flow Etc. Modification in source code for application Program’s in C language.
• In House Computer Hardware, System and Application Software maintenance for PC, Digital DEC Computers, & Various Operating System DOS, Window-95, IRMIX, SCO UNIX, Interactive UNIX, Windows NT & Servers, VAX-VMS. Loading, Installation & Configuration Changes on Operating System software of VAX-VMS, UNIX, DOS on different Hardware. Fully responsible for in House Maintenance of 20 DEC computers, PC Pentium 30 in Nos & base systems. Looks after DEC Networking of Digital Computers VAX 3100 Series and VAX 4000, Dec Server 200, 300 & LAN Bridge, printers.
• For all above system, Modification of Application Data software, changes for addition, deletion of signals points & display changes in graphics, trending and report generation. Modification in source code for application Program’s in C language and Avanti SQL Language of ABB for Data Base Changes.
• My responsibility in CMC includes, independently maintaining Main & Mini Frame Computers System of Hewlett Packard & Digital DEC Company and System software support for DOS, Unix O.S. & VAX-VMS O.S. Maintenance & support on DCS/SCADA system for ONGC Ahmedabad.
• Maintenance of UNIX based system. Maintenance on Digital Equipment Corporation DEC Computers such as VAX 11/750, VAX 11/780, MicroVAX VAX 3100 Series, VAX 4000-200 Model of VAX-VMS Operating System. Site Selection, Power Distribution.
• I have written Machine Language Programs for PDP Machines, HP CPU and DEC Machine for debugging of faults on CPU Boards & peripheral Cards up to Component Level for repair. I have repaired Electronic PCB of any Computer up to component Level, and also repaired so many Power Supplies.
This Company operates a number of Oil Rigs to Extract, Process, & Export Oil.
• Project & Maintenance on DCS System for exporting Oil using Hewlett Packard Computer HP1000 and 8 RTUs- Remote Terminal Unit for Data acquisition & Control System.
• Project & Maintenance on Microprocessor Data acquisition System and Electronics based Instrumentation. Data Software Modification for DCS System
• I was responsible for Maintenance of all types of Instrumentation for Prover skid of metering using flow meters, control Valves, Pressure and temperature transmitter. It was a quite a big metering circuit for flow measurement.
• Allen Bradley PLC for Gas heaters Plant with burner control.
SAC-ISRO is a premier Organization involved in Research and Development of Communication Satellite, Ground Earth Station, Communication System & Various Defense Related Project under Department of Space and Technology, Govt. of India.
Design & development of Analog/Digital Equipment:
• Designed 10 Bit successive Approximation Analog to Digital Converter.
• Design & Development & Production of 8 Units of Data Collection Platform for receiving the Data from Satellite. It is used for Data Acquisition System.
• Designed Digital sub system of GEO Receiver big Project using C-MOS & TTL IC.
• Designed Digital Sub system of Timing Receiver using Read Write, Control Ckt, Memory and Digital Interface.
