Manage the buying process for a given set of goods in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with organisational targets and requirements.
Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues
Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.
Develop and maintain a strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant purchasing and sourcing concepts.
Manage problems and schedule changes and ensure changes are reflected within the ERP systems.
Balance both tactical executions with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects.
Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.
Deliver briefs, updates and reports as and when required.
Develop creative and innovative procurement processes.
Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
Releasing Purchase orders based on the requirement of project orders. Obtain order acknowledgement from suppliers and inform production department about the delivery commitments of raw materials well in advance.
Organise logistics for imported purchase, coordinating with customs for duty clearance.
Preparing material requirement plan as per production floor needs. Tracking and maintaining inventory levels in the stores for all items required in the plant.
Handle all Purchase related processes, like raising Purchase request, Purchase order, and other documentation
Materials follow up for timely delivery and periodic visits to supplier’s works.
Ordering the material as per the planning schedule & ERP statements.
Follow up with collaborator for new designs and import trial lot.
Find out the best supplier in the markets in terms of quality, delivery and price.
Analyse the defects in products and changing the methods if it required for producing a defect less product.
Planning and reviewing the status of inventory.
Analyse vendor quotes and select products from suppliers based on price and quality.
Order and Vendor management, receipt and verification of material, replenishment/issue/transfer of material.
Handling day to day activities in co-ordination with internal / external departments for smooth business operations.
Cost reduction for the major project orders.
Monitoring the inventory against the production plan.
Evaluating vendor performance to ensure adherence to predefined specifications and supply of quality
Co-ordinate with ERP for total systems package like Purchase orders, Schedules and delivery performance.
Standardizing various formats such as detailed costing sheet, Costing Approval Form, Sample procurement form by approval from the concern dept heads.
Materials follow up for timely delivery and periodic visits to supplier’s works.
Planning & procurement of items for production, non-production and raw materials.
Checking confirmations of order, delivery note and invoice control
Preparation and processing of requisitions and purchase orders.
Ordering the material as per the planning schedule & ERP statements.
Sending quality reports to all suppliers and ensure that the corrective actions are received
