The Building Division forming an integral part of the Ghantoot Group of Companies. Ghantoot Building Division was established in 1985. DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
 Steer claims preparation and augmenting them with legal argumentation to strengthen the claims and following up until settlement.
 Created a new general terms and conditions to the subcontracts and work orders to safeguard the company and avoid risk areas, commercial gaps, conflicts or deviations from scope of main works.
 Prepare a flow down clause plan highlighting the key obligations and liabilities which are required to be passed onto subcontractors / vendors. In particular, ensure that back-to-back guarantees, warranties and insurances are obtained from subcontractors / vendors.
 Ensured compliance with Contracts/Subcontracts terms and conditions through effective staff coordination, Contracts/Subcontracts performance, Contracts/Subcontracts administration and other major matters.
 Effectively negotiate contracts with suppliers/subcontractors to enable best price/ best quality acquisition, achieve significant cost savings and mitigate contractual risks.
 Assisting tendering department reviewing tender documents for new projects and highlighting risk areas.
 Ensured that Ghantoot or customer related actions or inactions, which could result in constructive Contracts/Subcontracts changes, are identified and make recommendations on their resolution.
 Assess and determine subcontractors’ claims and follow up until settlement.
 Oversee the administering of all contractual correspondence within the main Contracts and Sub-contracting partners.
 Oversee dispute management and resolution, as well as assessment and reporting of the Contracts/Subcontracts financial data to executive stakeholders.
 Manage commercial close out of main contract. Submit and follow up applications for Completion Certificates. Monitor bank guarantee and retention releases.
