Job Purpose:

Manage the day-to-day operations and upkeep of KAIA's vast building portfolio, encompassing circa 480 varied building structures spread across a 100-square-kilometer airport complex. This critical infrastructure includes a diverse range of facilities that support the airport's core functions, ensuring seamless operation for a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including those vital to essential airport communication and services.

Key Responsibilities:
Functional Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day operational building maintenance to ensure that the building services and their critical systems are readily available 24/7.
Drive service provider performance to ensure the reliability and continuity of services, by tracking the key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and propose solutions to maintain peak efficiency and reliability of the services.
Identify any non conformance and escalate to senior management.
Ensure that building systems maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Develope, implement and review comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure the continuous and reliable operation of building services and systems.
Support the FM Risk Management Process, raise issues to the risk register, identify and support the implementation of mitigations.
Oversee routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities to proactively address potential issues and prevent downtime.
Support the development of business continuity plans and emergency response procedures.
Foster open communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, service providers and external suppliers.

Operational Responsibilities:

Prepare reports, analyze data and submit recommendations to the leadership in order to support informed decision making.​
Report any operational risks and roadblocks to prevent any negative impact on the organizational unit’s objectives and targets. Recommend corrective action in order to minimize operational interruptions.

Financial Management Responsibilities:

Contribute to the budget development process and provide all the relevant inputs.
Ensure alignment with the relevant financial policies and procedures applicable to role.

People Management Responsibilities:

Leading a team of engineers responsible for the maintenance and operation of building services and systems.
Assigning tasks and providing guidance to ensure efficient work.
Motivate and ensure a positive work environment for the team.
