1. KOC Office Complex Project (EA/1095) (Court Suit No. 4589/2013)
2. Consultancy Services for Evaluation of Structural Integrity of KOC Office Complex (Court Suit No. 7896/2018)
- Responsible for responding to Court Memorandums of Defenses received from KOC Litigation Team concerning the court suit No. 4587/2013 lodged by the Contractor against the Company (KOC).
- Preparing counter-claim by the Company (KOC), for the Repair Works of KOC Office Complex, against the Contractor and communicating the same to KOC Litigation Team for their further legal action.
- Responsible for responding to Court Memorandums of Defenses received from KOC Litigation Team concerning court suit No. 7896/2018 (Repair Works) that was lodged by the Company (KOC) against the Contractor in year 2018.
- Handling all outstanding claims and court cases lodged by the contractor M/s Alamiah Building Co. and their subcontractors against the Company (KOC)
- Responsible for responding to the Experts Reports by Kuwaiti Court as received from Company’s Litigation team.
- Responsible for the administration of Consultancy Services Contract for Evaluation of Structural Integrity of KOC Office Complex. This Third-Party contract was propose by the Investigation Committee after the collapse of the gable wall in Building B-2 of the office complex.
- In addition to my role of contracts administrator I also handled the duties of Project Engineer, managing the Consultancy Services contract for the Evaluation of Structural Integrity of KOC Office Complex, Ahmadi.
- Work closely with KOC PMC Contracts Manager to understand requirements and develop appropriate systems to communicate issues, ensuring all concerned are kept properly informed of all conferred matters.

Scope:
The project consists of construction, completion, commissioning, and handing over of KOC Office Complex project. The project entails the construction of 6 Main Offices Buildings that will accommodate 2200 employees. Area allocated for this project covers 140, 000 m2 and the total built up area for these building is approximately 80, 000 m2.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performed the role of client’s Consultant on all aspects of Project Management. Monitor and administer the contract to assure compliance with the contractual terms and conditions. Identify disputed contractual issues and take appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory resolution to all parties to the project. Interpret contract terms and conditions to client. Prepare responses to Contractor’s letters for client’s review and signature. Prepare internal memos from client’s Superintendent to other client teams concerning all project issues. Ensure timely response to all correspondences.
Responsible for the preparation of variations. Establish appropriate amendments to the terms and conditions of contract to suit the contractual changes required by the variation. Negotiate variations with the contractor and ensure that documentations are properly produced and maintained. Review issues with client’s superintendent, client’s contract and financial teams prior to submitting for approval.
Responsible for the preparation of contractor’s time & cost claims review and analysis. Ensure that documents of the project’s Certificate of Completion are prepared, followed through and obtain required signatures.
Assist the client in preparing the project’s capital expenditure and fiscal budget. Ensure timely preparation of Client’s reports, such as the Projects Progress Review (PPR) and Monthly Business Outlook (MBO). Furnish business and financial information requested by the client concerning the project.

The Pearl Qatar Project (US $3 Billion)

Scope:
Project Management Contract (PMC); consisted of over 100 packages including Design, Construction and General Contracts. The Pearl Qatar is a man made Island covering 400 hectares of reclaimed land connected with the mainland by 350 meters long causeway. The Island is configured around three major coves, each with Central Island.
On completion, the built-up area will be 4, 500, 000 M2 including 15, 000 number of residential units, 1, 600 hotel rooms, 60, 000 M2 retail uses, 35, 000 office space and 12, 500 services space. When fully developed the Pearl Qatar would be the home of approximately 41, 000 people.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop procedures for monitoring the progression of design and construction packages so as to ensure offering effective and efficient project management system. Implement, communicate and review project procedures from design initiation to construction completion & contract close out.
Promote company culture of providing good quality of management information on which to base project decisions. Ensure that design and construction activities are monitored and controlled in accordance with specifications and contractual requirements. Liaise between client, contractor and design staff. Interface with project site management and client counterparts for specific cost/planning and scheduling tasks. Develop appropriate systems to communicate issues, ensuring all parties are kept properly informed.
Responsible for preparing the PMC monthly progress report, signifying procedures adherence, cost and time status and contractual issues.
Ensure integrity of planning and cost data are being processed properly. Administer Payment Applications and issuance of Payment Certificates to contractors. Develop diagrams and cash-flow/progress projections for the client. Monitor materials andshopdrawing submittals, procurement logs and reports.

Scope:
The project consisted of construction of 4 diamond shape new buildings with built up area of 27, 500 M2, demolition and renovation of 5 old buildings with built up area of 21, 500 M2 and landscaping hard/soft area of 27, 000 M2.
The new buildings are cast in place concrete structure; auditoriums and bridges linking new to old buildings are steel structure. External finishing is marble and granite stone for the new buildings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Acting Resident Engineer. Responsible for the administration of contract and site works.
Ensure that construction activities are monitored and controlled in accordance with design specifications, contractual requirements, and project procedures. Serve as interface between project site staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and client/end-user representatives in the resolution of issues. Conduct weekly construction meetings and monitor the status of the contract, progress, and changes. Perform claim analysis and reviews. Significant responsibility for project results. Make recommendations for final acceptance by the client.
Review and update CPM in Primavera Project Planner as related to Scheduling Construction activities, Cost Loading and Construction Claims. Evaluate progress of project to determine if time schedules are being met. Read project diaries and assign CPM codes to construction activities. Monitor shopdrawing and materials submittals and approvals. Interface with project team to develop project forecasts and analyse project schedule and costs. Develop diagrams and cash-flow projections for the client. Responsible for the review and issuance of contractor’s Payment Certificates. Prepare executive management reports.
Participated in the pre-construction phase of other projects, such as tender evaluation, contractor selection, providing advice and planning and scheduling.

Scope:
The project consisted of 50 million M3 water reservoir, river diversion, 200, 000 M3 quarry material rock blasting, 1.5 million M3 earthmoving including excavation and dam core fill & filters, outlet tunnel rock blasting and concrete lining, concrete intake tower and valve chamber, concrete spillway, construction of Water Treatment Plant, 1.5 km supply pipeline, and 9 km distribution pipeline network.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and update project master plans and schedules consistent with production requirements for Civil and Electro-Mechanical disciplines by utilizing P3-Primavera Project Planner software. Interpreting plans and specifications and assessing them with construction in progress. Cost and Resources loading, including graphical and tabular P3 reports. Preparing the monthly progress report.
Directly responsible for the implementation of company’s Project Monitoring System. Correlate and organize project documentation data. Systematically receive and analyze project costs. Monitor and analyze actual productivity and cost rates against the budget. Monitoring performance and communicating cost and earned value data to cost center supervisors and project engineers. Responsible for the development of master and detailed project schedule and cost loading utilizing P3-Primavera Project Planner. Responsible for the preparation of project payment certificates/invoices in conjunction with other team members. Develop work in place diagrams with cash-flow projections.
