- Handling all outstanding claims and court cases lodged by the contractor M/s Alamiah Building Co. and their subcontractors against the Company (KOC)

- Responsible for responding to the Experts Reports by Kuwaiti Court as received from Company’s Litigation team.

- Responsible for the administration of Consultancy Services Contract for Evaluation of Structural Integrity of KOC Office Complex. This Third-Party contract was propose by the Investigation Committee after the collapse of the gable wall in Building B-2 of the office complex.

- In addition to my role of contracts administrator I also handled the duties of Project Engineer, managing the Consultancy Services contract for the Evaluation of Structural Integrity of KOC Office Complex, Ahmadi.

Area allocated for this project covers 140, 000 m2 and the total built up area for these building is approximately 80, 000 m2.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Performed the role of client’s Consultant on all aspects of Project Management. Monitor and administer the contract to assure compliance with the contractual terms and conditions. Identify disputed contractual issues and take appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory resolution to all parties to the project. Interpret contract terms and conditions to client. Prepare responses to Contractor’s letters for client’s review and signature. Prepare internal memos from client’s Superintendent to other client teams concerning all project issues. Ensure timely response to all correspondences.
Responsible for the preparation of variations. Establish appropriate amendments to the terms and conditions of contract to suit the contractual changes required by the variation. Negotiate variations with the contractor and ensure that documentations are properly produced and maintained. Review issues with client’s superintendent, client’s contract and financial teams prior to submitting for approval.
Responsible for the preparation of contractor’s time & cost claims review and analysis. Ensure that documents of the project’s Certificate of Completion are prepared, followed through and obtain required signatures.

The Pearl Qatar is a man made Island covering 400 hectares of reclaimed land connected with the mainland by 350 meters long causeway. The Island is configured around three major coves, each with Central Island.
On completion, the built-up area will be 4, 500, 000 M2 including 15, 000 number of residential units, 1, 600 hotel rooms, 60, 000 M2 retail uses, 35, 000 office space and 12, 500 services space. When fully developed the Pearl Qatar would be the home of approximately 41, 000 people.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop procedures for monitoring the progression of design and construction packages so as to ensure offering effective and efficient project management system. Implement, communicate and review project procedures from design initiation to construction completion & contract close out.
Promote company culture of providing good quality of management information on which to base project decisions. Ensure that construction activities are monitored and controlled in accordance with design specifications, contractual requirements, and project procedures.
