Maintain in depth knowledge of GPO purchasing program and solid knowledge of other GPO product category programs
Develop and maintain good working relationships with customer departments, the management team, and staff.
Responsible for contract management
Develop, maintain, and coordinate a system for regularly scheduling contract reviews
Review routinely purchasing practices to assure that staff are procuring and utilizing appropriate contracts and tiers
Ensure optimal participation in GPO agreements to maximize price savings, rebates, group redistribution and commitments
Oversee the purchasing function utilizing acceptable purchasing practices
Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
Explore available technology and implement best practices related to purchasing activities
Engage directly in the company’s supply chain process to ensure that all customs material movements are completed, recorded accurately, and follow scheduled plan.
Perform vendor pre-qualification and evaluation supplier’s capabilities
Performs commercial evaluation of supplier’s quotations. Setting terms of references.
Coordinates activities with those of other departments and or task force groups, the administration and supervision of assigned personal working in the procurement task force.
Regularly monitors and reports progress of the procurement activities on the project to which assigned the competence and performance of all assigned procurement personal within man-hour and cost budget.
Analyzes price proposals financial reports and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
Evaluate and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes.
Maintains and reviews computerized or manual records of items purchased, cost, delivery, product performance and inventories.
Negotiates and administers contract with suppliers, vendors and other representative.
Ensures accomplishment of all duties delegated by the supply chain manager including.
