Maintenance of MWD/LWD (Measurement-while-drilling/ Logging-while-drilling) tools including Ontraks and Navigamma Strings.
Rack smart tools and dumb irons in orderly and safe conditions with all thread connections greased and fitted with appropriate thread caps.
Regular status update of smart tools/dumb irons and make weekly spreadsheet presentation at operations meeting.
Quarterly review of spares for maintenance of smart tools based on drilling operations projection while also synergizing maintenance projection with potential cost implications.
Develop Damage-Beyond-Repair (DBR) report for damages/defects incurred on tools returned from Clients’ locations.
Interpret Clients’ approved BHA string call out and downhole thread connections.
Drive MWD/LWD string testing including GWD (Gyro-while-drilling) strings prior deployment to Client’s location.
Quality process adherence in assembling and disassembling of MWD/LWD/GWD tools.
Close ranks with Reliability Team and Client (as applicable) on cases of workshop/ rig failure incidence(s), failure troubleshooting, while sharing and adopting lessons learnt from recommendations.
Track and update movement of tools and their locations per time.
Function test MWD cabin unit with MWD Field Engineer(s) prior unit rig mobilization.
Document and archive all maintenance paper works, equipment waybill and manifests.
Active participation in all stand-down and quality process meetings.
MWD DRILLING FIELD EXPERIENCE:
Location: RIG 3, ANIEZE 26, SEEPCO
Duties:
Participated in rigging up all surface equipment.
Participated in shallow testing downhole tool string before commencement of drilling.
Participated in monitoring all aspects of drilling process while running downhole tools.
Participated in maintaining regular contact and communication with Site’s geologist and Company man to facilitate exchange of well information.
Participated in MWD related surveys, logs, reports and paperwork.
Participated in quality control of all surveys taken.
Participated in rigging down all surface equipment after successful drilling operation.
Maintain, test and perform mechanical inspection and assembly/disassembly of MWD (Ontrak, Navitrak/navigamma - DAS, SGM, SRIG, MEM and SNT probes and Azitrak) Electro-mechanical assemblies in line with Baker Hughes Quality Standards.
Implement Post-field maintenance on utilized tools from Clients’ location to ascertain quality status.
Evaluate validity of test calibrations and where expired, fresh calibration is appropriated.
Perform Pre-deployment string testing and prepare paperwork accompanying load out.
Perform JSA prior overhead crane lifting and hydraulic pressure related operations.
Periodic inspection of workplace, overhead crane, chemical cabinet and lithium battery room.
Present safety presentations periodically in my local team and maintain strict compliance with Company’s QA/QC and HS&E meetings, policies/procedures.
Receipt and inspection of foreign materials from certified vendors according to acceptable practices & procedures of OIMS (Operations Integrity Management System), System of Management Controls and other relevant SHE
(Safety, Health & Environment) requirements.
Evaluate validity of Purchase Orders (PO’s) prior inspecting deliveries, through generated IPES pre-receipt print.
Inspect delivered materials in line with the PO and IPES specifications.
Ensure accompanying shipping documents are in order and consistent such as Freight Waybill, packing list, shipping notification, delivery notes, service tickets and certificate of test where applicable.
Ensure clarity of labeled materials with the generated material numbers, appropriated binning locations that best
suits the materials on IPES before binning them physically.
Periodic cycle count, as to ratify possible material variance between physical quantities and IPES quantities.
Timely query resolution of end users’ complaints concerning PO’s and requisitions.
Interface directly with Logistics Unit for material delivery to end-users.
Active participation & Compliance with all QA/QC and HSE related procedures and programmes
Write and document action points at the daily maintenance tool box meeting
Prompt update of tracking sheet and maintenance history card for each heavy duty equipment such as Mobile Cranes, CAT Forklifts, Container Forklifts and Fire Trucks, using excel spreadsheet
Ensure all required approvals are secured and adequately signed off before embarking on any maintenance
Interface with the warehouse department on spares required for maintenance
Develop and review, in conjunction with other Team members, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) required for each preventive and corrective maintenance
Comply with approved procedures and technical manuals for seamless maintain operation
In collaboration with other Maintenance Team members, appropriate preventive and corrective maintenance as may be required
Ensure safety guards are in place and duly followed before, during and after every maintenance activity
Maintain good housekeeping prior, during and after each maintenance activity
Active participation and Compliance with all QA/QC and HSE related procedures, meetings and programmes.
