- Responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles.
- Serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations.
- Make the ultimate decision whether a vehicle is safe to have on the road.
- Direct supervision, hiring and evaluating the work of employees as a first-line supervisor
- Deciding whether a vehicle meets environmental standards, whether a vehicle should be assigned to better meet the needs of the University, whether a vehicle should be purchased, accepted as a donation or disposed of.
- Develops and administers vehicle/equipment asset management processes from procurement to disposition.
- Create vehicle purchase specifications and purchase vehicles for departments.
- Establish and monitor purchasing, operational and replacement strategies and practices for most cost effective operation.
- Develop and implement training modules for vehicles and equipment use and care.
- Oversees the on campus fueling stations. Reducing the Fleet’s carbon footprint and environmental impact.
- Responsible for all aspects of operation for a full-fledged vehicle maintenance facility and one satellite equipment repair shop
- Ensure unit compliance with all Federal, State & Local laws and regulations related to vehicle repair shop operations and vehicle and mobile equipment use and care

Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned personnel.

- Diagnose, supervise and participate in skilled and semi-skilled repairs.
- Determine priority of work orders and their assignment to personnel; plan, organize
and schedule work flow of employees as assigned; advise and assist assigned
personnel; assure timely completion of work.
- Maintain records and reports as necessary.
- Conduct in-service training programs for employees with equipment suppliers for
new techniques in mechanical repairs.
- Assist in the selection of new employees; train, supervise and evaluate assigned
employees; recommend disciplinary action or promotion as appropriate; review completed work and provide feedback as necessary.
- Initiate requisition for materials and equipment; authorize purchases from local vendors; maintain adequate inventory of parts, equipment and supplies used in repairing and servicing motorized vehicles.
- Monitor tools, tool room equipment, maintenance and safety practices.

Handling, controlling and processing warranty claims for both vehicles and parts
- Tracking the claims.
- Processing warranty procedure.
- Communicating with the headquarters (Toyota, JAC).
- Creating and submitting internal, external reports for manager and headquarters.
- Builds and maintains productive relationships with manufacturers’ designated warranty
representatives.
- Reviews warranty repair orders for completion, accuracy and legibility to ensure
compliance with policies and procedures.
- Prepares, submits and follows up on warranty claims.
- Verifies each repair order against vehicle service history to avoid making duplicate claims.
- Receives and resubmits all rejected claims promptly.
- Assists with body shop warranty claims and follows up on outstanding claims.
- Reconciles all warranty receivables and works with the accounting department to obtain
payments.
- Verifies VIN information in order to identify warranty information and/or outstanding
recalls.
- Maintains all service and customer records as required by the warrantor.
- Completes and maintains Factory and Dealer Training

Diagnosing and troubleshooting all vehicles using troubleshooting/parts manuals, diagnosis/
programming systems for several cars brands.
· Creating and submitting internal and external reports to managers, employees and Nissan HQ.
· Controlling, assessing, handling and processing the Warranty, goodwill claims and technical
campaigns for the service center.
· Assisting in the technical training programs for engineers, technicians and employees in the
after sales and sales according to the available Nissan courses.
