Inspire Cosmetics is a Canadian based cosmetics line with the goal of providing consumers with exceptional quality cosmetics that will inspire them. Reporting to the CEO, I was put in charge of multiple events, managing a team of 4-5 consultants at a time
Main responsibilities:
- Introducing consumers to the brand by providing personalized consultations
- Educating consumers about the products during application
- Converting consultations into sales
- Assisting in managing booths at trade shows and events, e.g. The National Women’s Show (40, 000+
guests in attendance) and the TIFF Social Media Lounge (multiple well-known media personalities in attendance)
Main achievements:
- Trained 1 consultant to join the team
- Increased the number of consumers through word of mouth
- Made $1, 500+ in sales in 2 days at the National Women’s Show
Twitvid (now known as Telly) is a social network that connects you with the latest and greatest videos on topics and people you find interesting. Reporting to the CEO, I was in charge of creating and managing 2 beauty channels
Main responsibilities:
- Curating the most engaging video content related to beauty on the web
- Running and managing 2 beauty channels
- Posting videos at least 3 times a day on each channel
Main achievements:
- Generated 5, 000+ followers within a month through social media initiatives
Loose Button is a Canadian beauty membership service which helps consumers discover, try and purchase quality beauty and lifestyle products through a seasonal Luxe Box with 7 to 8 trial-sized items. Reporting to
the CMO, I was in charge of the community, managing all forms of social media communications, as well as assisting with customer service
Main responsibilities:
- Handling all community and customer relations correspondence
- Managing social media initiatives across multiple platforms - Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
- Reaching out to influential bloggers and maintaining a good relationship with them with the goal of
spreading the word about the service
- Creating and running contests in partnership with various brands to strengthen their online presence,
using multiple online contest platforms, e.g. Shortstack and Offerpop
Main achievements:
- Answered 150+ emails and calls on a daily basis
- Reduced email response time from 3 minutes per email to 1 minute per email, thus allowing more
time to be allocated to other tasks
- Assisted in doubling the number of subscriptions on a monthly basis
The Canadian Marketing Association is the only marketing association in Canada that embraces Canada’s major business sectors and all marketing disciplines, channels and technologies
Reporting to a key member, I was given the task of doing market research for a course provided by the CMA
Main responsibilities:
- Assisting in conducting online research to develop new content for the Digital Marketing Professional Certificate course
- Updating course slides with current industry statistics
