Responsibilities: This role offers learning support to the various business units within Anglo American; Kumba SA, Thungela, De Beers, Marketing Singapore, Global Shared Services, Platinum, Technical and Sustainability and Anglo Corporate.

• Accurately capture of training records and registers for all permanent and contractor employees on the SAP and LMS system to grant employees access into the mining operations.
• Implement and improve LXP/LMS Systems.
• Compile and audit WSP and BBBEE reporting standards.

• Analyze course evaluation feedback forms to assess and monitor the effectiveness and successes of training programmes

• Coordination of all audits and compliance training roll outs, identifying target audience, uploading course content, creation of assignment profiles and monitoring employee course progress.
• Super user on Learning Management System (LMS) providing support to all employees; query resolution assigning training courses, updating training records and system navigation assistance.
• Track Learning and Development activities for reporting purposes
• Ensure mandatory learning and development requirements are consistently delivered to meet statutory requirements
• Establish excellent relationships with functional management to gain a strong understanding of project issues and opportunities and to provide SME advice to project teams
• Conduct system testing for new pilot projects
• Coach and train all new joiners within the team
• Provide accurate information to support client queries
• Respond to requests (prioritizing as appropriate), investigating problems and developing remedial plans to resolve queries that have been escalated

The role is responsible for ensuring that the Training Department is running smoothly.

• Liaise with training providers and ensure only the best are selected to deliver and meet our training needs.
• Provide a streamlined training function by ensuring effective coordination, event management and logistical arrangements of 5 training venues, catering requests, training packs, stationery, parking, etc.
• Process all L&D payments: average of 30 invoices a day via the SAP system. This is key as it with early bird discounts. It also eliminates late registration, penalty fees and sold out courses.
• Monitor and control 6 cost centre team budgets, report planned to actual and ensure spend is regularly updated and recharged via the SAP system.
• Ensure accurate and up to date recording of training attendance and spend for audit purposes.
• Keep records of all quarterly training reports and budgets for purpose of Mining Charter Reporting, Workplace Skills Plan, Skills Development Act, etc.
• Project management of the NQF Level 4 ABET qualification rolled out for 20 Security Officers.
• Insights Champion for 2000 employees and responsible for generating the Insights Personality profiles and liaising with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met.
• Workplace skills, FASSET and BBBEE reporting to line management and SETA ensures we are always compliant.
