Police College curricula are prepared and tailored according to specific standards to meet the educational and training needs. Evaluation of the said needs through scientific methods is the best means to achieve the hopeful goals of the educational and training process . The nature of police officer's job, his duties, responsibilities, the laws he enforces and the nature of the community he serves are all considered determents that help in specifying the practical needs of police officers. As most of these determents are unstable and changeable, the continuous follow up and evaluation of the College curricula gains prominence. The curricula are regularly evaluated and developed to be in concert with the changes of the educational and training needs. Police College curricula tend to focus on the study of police sciences that are necessary for the formation of the special culture and knowledge required in police officer's work. Police Sciences have been developed in recent years to include profound technical and scientific aspects in the areas of police administration, police operations, criminal investigations, forensics, traffic , drug control, civil defense and explosives detection… etc. Due to the importance of the social role of police, social and humanitarian subjects represent a very important aspect in the curricula targeting the preparation of Police College cadets. In addition to Police Sciences, cadets of Police College study the same Law subjects studied at Egyptian Faculties of Law. Police and Law studies qualify cadets to obtain L. L. B in Law as well as B.Sc. in Police Sciences. Moreover cadets of Police College have a military and sports training.
