Thesis : Specification of a formal model for user context. In this thesis, I proposed a user context model, by following a hybrid approach combining between using UML, ontologies and generic structures organized in a layered stack. The generic model is applicable in different domains and provides different tools to help developers in the designing and developing context-aware applications process by separating between the different aspects of context awareness like, context acquisition, context interpretation, context inference, syntactic and semantic description of the user context, context storage, and finally, context publication by using Web Services.
Thesis : Design and implementation of a tool for the design of XML data warehouses : Designing and implementation of an interactive system to assist designers in the designing process of XML Data Warehouses. In this work, I implemented a new semi-automatic approach, which maps XML schema into UML Diagram, then into the XML star schema of the Data Warehouse. I used mainly, XML technology, UML and JAVA.
