Being in Shipping Liner Business, I have learned to negotiate, understand shipping in more depth. Understand the technicalities of shipping and commercial perspective, roles of different players in shipping industry, shipping anomalous situations & solutions.
In this role, working on booking of FCL/LCL and break-bulk shipments and Correspond on daily basis with Shipper/Consignee/agents for timely and quality shipments deliverance.
Negotiate on Freight, Charter parties and surveyors selection.
Checking and Verification of B/Ls and relevant documentation and to calculate freight charges recoverable and payable.
Maintenance of slot vessel movement data in Excel and prepare reports and budgets. Issue PNSC freight certificates.
Preparing accounts for remittance and local charges for agents.
Offering shipping services for dry bulk cargoes like Grains, minerals and fertilizers etc from small Handy-size to Panamax volume being traded on a worldwide level around different regions of the world.
Keeping in touch with ship brokers/owners around the world and maintain an update of the vessels available in different regions of the world.
Evaluate the alternative vessels for a cargo and offer a competitive freight rate on per metric tons basis to the charterers of the shipments.
Negotiate with ship-owners and charterers on main term and charter party terms to get the deal fixed.
