Job Description and Responsibilities
• A varied and interesting role without specific perimeters, changing as projects evolve, teams change structure and new business decisions are made
• Oversee the Al Tayer retail portfolio along with the design manager, in particular for new and refurb department store projects
• Develop sound design management and programming to meet expectations of senior executives and internal stakeholders
• Develop and formulate conceptual designs including space planning, fixture design, material board, zoning plans, color palette and FF&E for retail areas. Prepare premium-level presentations incorporating introduction material such as core ideas and concept overview; present design proposals to internal stakeholders
• Perform the highly time-sensitive business of design coordination with a multitude of brands within Al Tayer’s department stores
• Develop new procedures and formulate solutions to improve team efficiency and resolve difficulties
• Supervise the design process and manage CAD professionals to complete project deliverables and meet key milestones. Review construction documents, shop drawings, FF&E schedules and specifications
• Examine all design information developed and submitted by external consultants to ensure they preserve the design and functional objectives of Al Tayer Group
