• Overview of pre-construction activities including preliminary activities, statutory clearances and permissions, land acquisition, consent to establish etc. Driving Infrastructure projects capex investment of over Rs 20 Billion INR (270 M USD) over a period of 3 years, including facilities such as Ore handling and processing plant, Modular Washery, Overland Conveyors, Pipe conveyors, In-motion wagon loading system, Railway line and siding, Power infra (132/33/11 KV), Traction Sub-station, Water treatment plant, water supply infra, Nullah diversion, Offices, service buildings, Township, R&R colony and roads.

• I was instrumental in setting up a Project Management Office at Head Quarters to manage and drive projects at various sites for India mining business

Key Responsibilities
• Review tender documents, participate in evaluation of bids and award of contracts, planning and Review of Project Scope, Specifications, Resource requirements, interfaces and completion timelines with reference to business strategy, mine planning and production plan.
• Preparation and review of budget and coordination for financial approval from Management
• Tracking and Monitoring of statutory clearances, land acquisition, Right of way, permissions and approvals
• Prepare and review the deliverables and align master project schedules in line with business requirements
• Monitoring of project progress, analysis of variation in cost, schedule and quality and oversee implementation of corrective actions
• Review progress reports from various projects and coordinate project review meetings
• Leading the processes of risk identification and monitoring and perform analysis of impact on project objectives for timely mitigation action.
• Management of contracts (EPC, Consultancy, BOQ etc), change orders, claims and disputes.
• Tracking of funding requirements and capex costs
• Management and interfacing with project stakeholders including contractors, vendors, statutory agencies, operations etc to bring harmony and drive the project forward
• Perform as SPOC for bringing about process improvements and implementation of lessons learned in upcoming projects
• Took active role in obtaining ISO 31000 Certification (Risk Management system) for Mining business

• I also helped in reducing the current invoice turnaround time (Submission of invoice till the receipt of payments) from 3-4 months to within 60 days.
• I was responsible for MIS reporting system by providing timely information for Management to take informed decisions
• Identified and established KPI’s for planning department which were in line with company strategy
