Main responsibilities: Assuring the existence, monitoring, auditing, and assessing the following systems: 1-Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
2- Financial records and reports.
3- Monitoring risks: Credit, Market, Liquidity, and operational.
4- IT systems.
5- Assessing quality of assets.
6- Evaluating the internal control system.
7- Report the results of the above mentioned points to the Central Bank of Syria, and the Board of director of Cham Bank.
Implementing and ensuring compliance with the company's financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage a team of accountants and overseeing the accounting function of the entire Group
- Assist in preparing budgets for the business units.
- Reviewing the journal vouchers that are posted on to the ERP system and managing the monthly Trial Balance preparation.
- Overseeing the A/R and A/P process and also the accruals posting activity every month.
- Supervise detailed review / analysis of general ledger accounts and review of account reconciliations.
- Ensuring the financial reports on the finance system properly reflects operating results, accruals and adjustments.
- Assist in preparing monthly accounts, management reports, comparison with budget and commentary on the performance.
- Assist in preparing annual consolidated financial statements.
- Assist in preparing commentary on monthly and annual variance analysis.
- Producing accurate and timely financial information as required by management.
- Ensure compliance and the application of internal controls procedures.
- Providing effective input to the Finance Director in the financial analysis of all major decisions.
- Regularly advising the Finance Director on any Accounting related issues and give working solution to make the function more efficient.
- Completing review of month-end balance sheet, addressing items which require resolution.
- Monitor inter-company accounts.
- Support ad hoc reports for all companies.
- Assist in month end and year end closing.
- Actively participating in the annual audit process to ensure quality information is provided in a timely manner and the audit is finalized effectively and efficiently.
- Assist in stocktaking.
