I'm working as an operator in Olefins (Ethylene) unit. This plant provides the best experience there is to make the best operators. There is both cold & hot sections in Olefins. I'm qualified in all 4 areas outside which include furnaces for feed cracking, compression of charge gases. Then refrigeration systems to be used for feeding the users for separating the heavy materials from the light and lastly to finalize the process by extracting ethylene product through several columns systems. I'm also qualified in one Console which is the heart of the plant that controls the charged gas machines, dryers, chilling trains, cold boxes,
the refrigeration compressors and finally the Demethanizer column. There are also many auxiliary systems that B console controls a long with what I mentioned before. We also had a Turnaround in March 2014 that lasted almost 2 months. I can't say how much this Turnaround helped me a lot in understanding the operation and safety in a whole different level. I'm also an ERT member which granted the Journeyman certificate from Sabic Fire Training Center which located in Jubail City. I can work as an Emergency Response Team member in case of any emergency in the plant or even in Yanbu as a whole because we can engage with YAMA team for any emergency situations.
I can only say that I'm very glad to be a part of this challenging plant because no matter how much information I've learnt, I still get to experience new stuff every day.
Worked as an OJT operator for the Power Dispatch Unit.
My job was to inspect substations and isolate transformers by racking in & out breakers. Also keep and maintain the location and the equipment to be safe for the maintenance to work on. There were also many courses involved regarding safety, technical and management subjects to increase the knowledge in almost everything that we may use in our work
I had a very good experience in the college. And during that time, I managed to upgrade myself, my knowledge and the right way to deal with others. Achivement -I once got in the 3rd honorable level list due to my excellent English language.
