Set up the plant & jetty operations & maintenance planning function, and develop planning procedures, business processes and work flows. Ensure that the plant & jetty working capital is optimized and managed efficiently. Develop the Operations and Maintenance department operating & capital budget, and monitor expenditures against the approved budget. Assist top management in development and presentation of the Company’s strategy, long term goals, annual objectives; initiatives for achievement of the goals & objectives; identification of measures; measurement of performance compared to strategic goals, objectives and budgets using Key performance indicators (KPI). Key Resource to work in coordination with other departments and assist the top management in the development and to support long-term business planning and annual budgeting process and focusing of challenges & gaps associated in execution and achievement of business objectives and targets. Coordinate with Marketing and Procurement Department, in management of the Operations & maintenance services contracts tenders, technical & un-priced commercial evaluation, Commercial evaluation, and prepare the recommendation of award. Ensure that the facility’s working capital is optimized and managed efficiently. Ensure that the requirements of the plant operations, productions centers, are met, and the plant availability & reliability targets are achieved. Participate in detailed engineering design and process safety reviews.

To plan, direct, coordinate and manage all Mechanical, Instrument and Electrical maintenance activities. Contribute to the formulation and implementation of Maintenance strategy and plans to maximize the plant equipment availability and minimize equipment breakdown. Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, HR compliance, delivery of high quality products / services and a responsible environmental manner. Set Departmental objectives in line with Divisional objectives; define strategies and convert them into measurable tasks to achieve the objectives. Set the Department key performance indicators including HSE KPIs and manages resources to enhance performance and to contribute in achieving the Divisional HSE targets. Carry out proactive review of all equipment with focus on poor performers, recommends solutions leading to continuous improvement. Conduct and chair regular audits, risk assessments, root cause analysis and safety reviews. Assist in managing and ensuring the availability of necessary Materials, Spares and External Services. Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice. Assure availability, reliability and integrity of plants and equipment, in line with best maintenance techniques and engineering practices. Implement and monitor the planning of maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance routines and predictive maintenance, review and set priorities in coordination with Turnaround and Planning Department. Formulate maintenance spare parts requirement and ensures availability of required spare parts. Manage the contracts from award to completion. Prepare and control Operating Budget and Capital & Major Revenue budgets. Control Department manpower requirement propose supplementary manpower as required, coordinate with Human Resources and select suitable candidates to fill vacancies.

Plan, direct, coordinate and manage all Mechanical, Instrument and Electrical Maintenance Activities for Storex areas including UPS, Fire & Gas, Lighting and HVAC services in all areas. Storex includes maintenance of LNG, Butane, Propane, Pentane and Sulfur storage tanks and loading & circulation pumps installed on top of the tank for transferring the product to ships. It also comprises maintenance of two jetties for loading LNG, Butane, Propane, Pentane and molten Sulfur into ships through loading arms. Maintenance of three number boil of gas compressor, two reciprocating and one centrifugal type, substations, air compressor, fire water pumps and other pumps for transfer molten sulfur.

My responsibilities are to direct, coordinating and supervising maintenance and workshop activities at plant and off-sites. It includes participating in the preparation of maintenance programmes, directing the implementation of such programmes, evaluating modification and new projects proposals, examining equipment performance and providing recommendations to enhance maintainability and to minimize maintenance cost, Ensuring that all maintenance services are provided safely and efficiently.
It also includes directing and supervising the activities of assigned personnel in Maintenance department, to plan capital and operating budgets, monitors/rationalize the expenditure including 5 years planning. Organize short / medium / long term business in line with Company Policy / regulation / procedures.

To direct, coordinate and supervise all mechanical maintenance and workshop activities in the plant and off-sites. Include participating in the preparation of maintenance programmes, directing the implementation of such programmes, investigating modification and new projects proposals, examining equipment performance and providing recommendations to enhance maintainability and to minimize maintenance cost, Ensuring that all maintenance services are provided safely and efficiently.

To prepare five-year maintenance program, availability of required spares, identification of required resources, manpower, tools and materials. To comply with Company’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System (HSEQ-MS) and also promote awareness of its use among all concerned personnel. To ensure the implementation of engineering control, standards and specifications. To fully utilize the SAP Management System in terms of work execution, material reservation, history update, budget control and purchasing. To prepare, review and execute contract Scope of Work documentation. To trouble shoot of the chronic and recurring problems related to the rotating equipment. Performing failure analysis and recommend solutions for rectifying the problem. To compile/provide input for preparation of division/department Capital, Operating and 5 Year Plan budgets, and monitor/control expenditure. To produce method statements and job procedures for all critical activities.

Supervise, direct and control all activities of company / contractor personnel working in mechanical maintenance department in assigned units for repair, modification and installation of all stationary and rotating mechanical equipment, in field and office environments. Ensures that jobs are being done in-line with Company HSE regulations. To improve equipment availability and optimise maintenance cost. Provide technical inputs to capital design basis and support to develop project options. Comments on design / drawings / specifications and recommends improvements in maintenance works / procedures / standards. Develop and track fixed equipment plants for assigned operating area. Support Plant Operations maintenance need and emergency situations 24-7-365. Support plant turnaround efforts with technical and leadership support.

Assisting senior maintenance engineer in maintaining different stationary and rotating equipment at plan, utilities, tank farm and other operational facilities. Equipments include water tube boiler, shell and tube type heat exchangers, air cooled exchangers, distillation columns, pressure vessels, fabrication and repair of pipelines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, single and multistage centrifugal pumps fitted with mechanical seals, steam turbines, IC engines, standby diesel generators, mobile welding plants and air compressors, cooling tower and air cooler fans etc.

Completed two years training at the Engineering & Construction department. Got hand on training on different static and rotating equipment installed at refinery plant and associated facilities.

Worked as a project site engineer on PRL cross-country pipeline re-routing projects, JD includes supervision of site activities and controlling equipment and human resource. To monitor day to day job execution and resource planning.
