Key Result Areas: As a Commercial Manger.
Develop the ability to ensure effective procurement in terms of technical and commercial aspects.
Drafting of contract agreements, inclusive of scope of services/works.
Develop, review and update a change management system and procedures that capture complete, accurate and
consistent baseline documents, and ensure changes in design and construction and any other change are controlled
in accordance with the contract documents and/or programme controls procedures.
Deliverables, payment procedures and management reporting.
Contribute to risk management process and review meetings.
Alert the Employer of any actual, perceived or expected departure from contractual requirements and prepare analysis
of potential issues, resolution options and related recommendations.
Evaluate cost implications of changes to contracts that are determined as necessary to implement.
Monitor changes and potential changes across the programme against the contractual and scope baselines (Create
and implement an internal Change Management Plan, Change Log, and associated processes).
Establishing project control budgets based on approved project cost estimate.
Reviewing cost commitment and expenditure information for input to computerized cost control and reporting system.
Producing cost status reports and advising management of any forecast cost overruns.
Managing contractual / commercial queries and ensure that such queries are responded comprehensively and in a
timely manner.
Directs the commercial team to ensure that they meet the Project objectives by establishing contracts and securing
materials, equipment, and related services on time and within budget, in an ethical manner always, and truly in
accordance with project procedures.

Reviewing and responding to the contractual and commercial-related letter from client/subcontractor.
Dealing with major variations and negotiating with client/subcontractor and agree.
Preparing & sharing cost comparative statements for major items, negotiations, and taking approvals from management.
Reporting to management each month forecast IPA and achievable variation amount against cost.

Reviewing the working drawings for road works & other structures; skills in preparing Interim Payment Certificates, Reconciliation
of IPC, Material Reconciliations, Preparing Variation Orders, Rate Analysis for BOQ/non-BOQ items, Subcontractor Bills, Calculation
of Quantities of Roads & Structures and so on
Coordinating with Client’s representatives, sub-contractors, suppliers and third parties to prepare the comparison statement for all
activities mentioned in the contract document as per the budget requirements
Preparing & sharing comparative statements, negotiations and taking approvals from management
Conducting and ensuring rate analysis as per standard formats; preparing LOI/work orders to the specified works by framing T&C
as per the negotiations and issuing the same to the subcontractor
Identifying the lower rate items and missing item in the tender stage and reporting to Project Management Team (As per remeasured
IFC drawings)
