Monitors effectiveness of staffing patterns and recommends changes. Monitors level of frequently used supplies, researches possible alternatives and reports needs to responsible person.
Attends Continuing Education, Infection Control and Performance Improvement programs to keep updated with the current practices.
Examine the patient and give prescription if the patient is fit for discharge. Call the concerned resident/specialist on-call for the patient who needs to be admitted.
Supervise the ambulance services during his duty. Call the medical facility to which the patient will be referred from E.R.
Part of the JCI Accreditation program in our hospital (Joint Commission`s International) in 2006, as a JCI Facilitator for different binders, especially the privileges and credentials of the physicians. Also, teaching & training all hospital staff about the hospital policies & rules & regulations.
As a chairman of the drill department, I held the responsibilities for training the entire physician for different drills & disasters that might occur in our hospital at any time.
Due to family issues (death of my middle daughter), I did not renew my contract anymore and returned back to Jordan.
