My career in banking began at Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) where I spent 9 years as a Supporting Officer for multiple banking operational roles such as Trade Finance, Loans, Payroll, and Cheque Collections. I then moved on to a more challenging position as a Centralized Funds Transfer/Payment Officer at Burgan Bank where I have gained valuable experience on an international and local level. Since 2018, I have also been temporarily supervising and training new recruits in the remittance department at Burgan Bank.
During my career in banking, I have demonstrated my ability to learn quickly and be a reliable employee. I have also increased my team's productivity by 50% by implementing efficient software tools that enhanced our data storing and organizing capabilities, which translated into faster and more effective processing of operational tasks such as payments and money transfers to our clients.
I am also proud to have volunteered to work on-site during the Covid-19 lockdown at Burgan Bank, assisting my line manager in handling clients' requests for transferring funds and payments in and outside Kuwait due to the lack of staff, for which I was awarded appreciation.
