•Controls and supervises the daily operational activities of dispatchers.
•Follows up operational matters that might affect the progress of the flight.
•Looks after the adequate handling of the abnormal operations and provides flight crew with necessary information and assistance.
•Orders the required fuel quantities for each airport to be served by the airline’s aircraft.
•Ensures that airline regulations and policies are carried out duly in the daily function of flight dispatch.
•Collects and disseminates meteorological route and airport data affecting the airline and flight safety.
•Provides the operating crew with any anticipated or reported adverse weather information, en-route or at destinations and alternates.
•Follows up all operational matters such as curfew hours weather minima, ATC strike, fuel availability, and airport closure and runway condition.
•Coordinates with crew scheduling personnel in regard to crew assignment, movement and alerting.

.Managing all operational aspects of the flight schedule,
•Initiation and co-ordination of all necessary remedial actions in case of strike, political unrest or other external events that could adversely impact the Company’s planned operations,

• Good user for different dispatch programs ( GENEVA, AMELIA, NAVTECH PRO, Email/SITA/ARINC/AFTN Gateway )

• Maintain contacts with Internal & External departments to facilitate all operational requirements

• Restoring the flight schedule after irregularities

-Resolve routine operational conflicts in support to the execution of the operating plan.
-Restore flight schedule following irregularities or changes in the current operating plan.
-Arrange extra, positioning flights and /or charters from other carriers to meet immediate Operational and commercial requirements, as directed.
-Keep the President/CEO advised on all major disruptions to the schedule when directed by HOD OCC AND/OR his deputy. In case nun of them are available, duty manager should inform the President / CEO in all major disruptions.
-Act as OCC Auditor whenever directed by HOD OCC.
-Keep OCC management informed in the event of major disruptions.
-In case of major tech diversions & Operational delays, keep Deputy President/C.E.O Flt Ops Duty Manager informed at all times
-Supervision of all OCC personnel under his direct command
-Ensure the updating of the Fleet Watch system during his control period.
-Control all operational and technical matters and repeated snags that directly affect flight progress and safety, such as optimum flight plan level, crew duty time limitations, airports curfew hours, weather minima, operational restrictions at certain destinations, strikes, fuel availability, rerouting, diversions and cancellations etc .
-Ensure the updating of the Fleet Watch system during his control period.
-Ensure that flight Watch & Flight Track Support Services are always provided/monitored around the clock.
-Maintain Constant control on flights through HF console VHF, ACARS & follow on their progress.
-Follow up & action all NOTAM received through AFTN & other resources (Flight Dispatch & Flight Navigation Sections).
-Ensure that all individuals with responsibility for Operational Control have timely access to Operational Safety Information associated with :
•Aircraft manuals (MEL, FCOM, performance, etc).
•Corporate safety manual (AARM), current accident and incident
Notification procedures.

-Authorized / qualified to manage the internal OCC/Flight Dispatch Quality Assurance Function.
-Entrusted with additional tasks inside/outside OCC as directed by HOD OCC or his deputy.
-Unit Manager shall act as a member of Home-Base team of the Aircraft Accident Response Manual (AARM) \{2nd alternate for Head of OCC\}.
-Function as OCC Duty manger whenever a shortage of manpower is encountered.
-Ensure that Data Bases and other internal & external sources of operational data (Manuals, Provisions, circulars...) provided for operational control are current, accurate & complete.
-Maintain and update all manuals related to OCC library.
-Identify the OCC processes needed for the quality management system and their application through the organization.
-Determine the sequence and interaction of those processes.
-Determine criteria and methods ensure that both the operation and control of these processes and procedures are effective.
-Ensure the availability of recourses and information necessary to support the operation and monitoring of these processes. Monitor actions necessary to achieve planned results and continual improvements of these processes.
-Arrange for periodical audit plans for all units in OCC.
-Keep developing departmental vision, mission and goals.
-ensure that all IOSA/IATA standards are duly applied

•Reviews previous briefings & relays to all dispatchers any important information.
•Takes over the whole responsibility related to the operational matters
•Keep in contact with OCC duty Manager for any urgent matters related to flight Operations Dispatch & Flights Release
•Continuously monitors all e-mail and communications through VHF / ACARS and follow up & action all changes and requests.
•Continual monitoring for all inbound traffic WX requests by operating crew through the Fleet Watch & ACARS, and keep the crew updated on any relevant deteriorating weather conditions at Destination & Alternates and other information
•Monitor and check the traffic in and out Europe for the long en-route or airport delays.
•File the ATC flight plans for all RJ flights within Europe area.
•Continuously follow up and action any slots, changes or re-routing messages received from EURO-CONTROL.


•Supervise the flight planning requests for any inbound flights to/ from AMMAN or any station.
•Analyze the WX condition for the next day & keep Head of OCC & OCC Duty Manager advised.
