After my previous employment I was promoted to Chief Engineer within my field and had the same responsibilities but gain a more administrative role in the company:
• Prepare documents and gather information for implementing a Quality Management System in the organisation as a step to become ISO-certified
• Launch an elevator department
• Plan activities and projects in MS Project
• Prepare quotations, purchase orders and invoices
• Technical advisor for the sales department and responsible for sales of Busch vacuum pumps
The employment gave me the opportunity to use my newfound knowledge in Project Management as well as my Quality Management skills.
Cinqo Group is a private held Contracting and Trading Company located in the Kingdom of Bahrain. During my three month probation time as Electro Mechanical Engineer I have been collecting experience from diverse fields and my main responsibilities was to:
• Supervise the work sites, manly within my main field, i.e. electrical and mechanical but also the civil part, to ensure that the result meets the customer expectations
• Manage the maintenance at two vacuum pump stations in Bahrain
• Work along with one of the companies partners, Flovac, to assist them in the work with installing a wireless monitoring system for the sewage at Reef Island
• Keep a close and regular contact with our clients
Through the employment I gained GCC-experience and got to develop my communication and troubleshooting skills.
Callenberg is a part of Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions which is a division in the large and well-reputed maritime company Wilhelmsen Holding ASA. As an Elevator Technician I had the following responsibilities:
• Troubleshooting of both lift and electrical systems
• Lift Service
• Montage of electrical and lift installations
• Installation of new and modernisation of elevators
• Maritime and land elevators
During the employment I got the opportunity to work along with proficient and experienced colleagues. The service of lift systems included various manufacturers e.g. KONE, Schindler, HISSTEMA, TyssenKrupp and Otis.
As the leader I possessed the overall responsibility for the youth activities in the parish. The work tasks included to plan and hold the gatherings. I was also a "mentor" for the new confirmation leaders who the parish educated themselves.
During the apprenticeship my mainly trainee were within the area of elevator maintenance. I chose that department because of its broad operating range. I was able to work with both electricity and mechanical installation and became certified as both electrician and elevator mechanic.
Four weeks of training. My task was to perform electrical installations in an electricity cabinet. Also regular installation was included.
During four weeks internship different electrical installations were performed.
The main tasks were to help the parish with all practical operations that need to be performed before and during gatherings. I was also working as a leader for confirmation candidates.
Eight weeks of training where I got the opportunity to study and help when machines to i.e. TetraPak was constructed and programmed. I also participated on site when the installation and the final tunings were performed.
