The €119 million rehabilitation of the Egnatia Road mega-project and Construction of the 3.2 km Dodonis Tunnels and Bridges, awarded to a six-membered international joint venture (J/V).
The project involved a complex construction programme for boring and building two parallel tunnels, 3.2 km length each, three linear cantilever bridges of medium span (25~30m), and extensive road construction and asphalt pavement works of approx. 80 Kilometres.
• Managed the construction contract of the Italian members of the J/V. execution, overall performance and negotiations, modification and termination of contracts with various parties, including contractors, vendors, and distributors.
• Supervised contractors on-field operations, monitoring work progress, QC compliance, punch list follow-up and clearance.
• Represented the Italian side in the J/V progress review and commercial meetings, reporting to the COO.
• Ensured schedule adherence of construction works, and the timely review, approval and reconciliation of scope variations.
• Monitored compliance of the Service Level Agreements between the J/V members related to overlapping parts of scope and internal scope transfers between members.
• Conducted a retrospect accounts’ analysis in the executed part of the scope over a four-year period.
• Settled claims and disputes between the J/V members, investigated registered data, ministry’s instructions and change orders, daily progress reports, subcontracts, and any other official documentation and correspondence across the J/V structure towards the overall financial settlement
