For a major International Risk Management company (www.controlrisks.com), I am contracted to deliver short and medium term security consultancy services on projects across the Middle East for diverse clients. I have recently completed a Safety and Security Project Management consultancy task, including a complete company security management plan, security systems scheme implementation, manned guarding services RFP and selected company mobilisation for a real-estate developer in Riyadh.
I am also contracted to supply country evacuation planning and travel security training for a Global emergencies and travel security service provider (www.internationalsos.com). Also working closely with Gulf Event Solutions (www.gulfeventsolutions.com) I have acted as principal safety liaison for several international music artists performing in the UAE.

Head of Security at the Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM)

An employee of the Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM), as the Venue Security Manager and then promoted to Head of Department, I implemented corporate and contract security operations improvements at the UAE’s Formula 1 Racing Circuit (www.yasmarinacircuit.ae), where, International Motor Racing competitions plus corporate hospitality and other events are held during the rest of the year
I reviewed the security contracts and produced a new request for proposal (RFP). Working closely with the Procurement and Legal departments, I have implemented new security contracts with the multiple vendors containing service level agreements (SLA) with contingencies for under performance. I was responsible for an over 6 million USD per year security budget and made considerable savings, in the region of 50%, whilst ensuring the continued integrity of security operations
I managed the activities of ADMM Venue (Emirati), Event and IT (Westerner’s) Security Managers and (Emirati) Officers who ensured the operational efficiency of the contract security services. As well as managing Corporate Security issues and Government Agency liaison, I also produced the emergency response plans, security operating procedures and training objectives for the security and contingency operations

Community Security Manager at Nakheel

An employee of Nakheel Asset Management (www.nakheel.com), my position was the Community Security Manager for a large residential development. The first incumbent in the position, I was instrumental in the implementation of security operations at a combined residential, retail and construction development accommodating over 80, 000 residents
I was responsible for the security budget, which in the economic climate continually changed and required operational changes. I wrote and disseminated security operating procedures, emergency plans and procedures to the contract guard service. I directed the contracted guard service on training including best working practice and incident response. I designed an audit system to ensure compliance with security contractor service delivery, Nakheel then adopted this system across all of its developments
Other responsibilities included conducting security surveys, risk assessments, risk registers, writing and developing emergency response plans. I briefed and exercised the higher management on incidents and response, contingency plans, security policy and operations. I also closely liaised with Dubai Police with regards criminal activity and prevention, plus liaising with other Government agencies and Nakheel land use and compliance departments on regulatory breaches and corrective measures within the community

Area Security Advisor, KSA at Janusian/BAE Systems

Contracted by Janusian (www.janusian.com) promoted through different positions, including Accommodation Compound Security Manager and Riyadh Air Base Security Manager, I attained the position of Area Security Advisor for BAE Systems assets and personnel. I directed a team of six, expatriate, security managers positioned in residential compounds and commercial sites across the Saudi Arabian Eastern Province and Bahrain
I was responsible, within budget, project security management of BAE facilities in the region including, the under construction, largest BAE business and residential compound in the Kingdom and the new aircraft maintenance facility, I also organised and conducted executive/VIP protection operations when required
Other responsibilities included advising and exercising area management on incident response and investigations, security policy, loss prevention and business contingency planning and staff travel advice. I liaised with the local contracted guard force, Saudi Security Forces and UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) staff, plus organising and conducting security awareness training for BAE personnel
