Structural Engineer and Research Assistant
The main duties of the job are:
1. Structural designer for RC, Steel Buildings and Bridges.
2. Static and dynamic structural Analysis for Buildings and Bridges.
3. Seismic risk analysis regarding to Eurocodes and UBC code.
4. Implementing and design of FPS isolators to be used for existing RC bridges for retrofitting systems.
5. Design two reduced scale models for pier columns (11.5, 7.00 m heights) belonging to RC bridge together with FPS isolation system and testing them in ELSA laboratory under seismic actions using PsD techniques.
6. Joining the practical experiments at ELSA laboratory.
7. Preparing reports, documents, papers, and presentations for the structural projects.

1. Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and operative.
2. Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
3. Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
4. Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
5. Overseeing quality control, health and safety matters on site.
6. Preparing reports as required.
