• Waste Water Treatment and discharge as per parameters/limitations provided by government.
• Installation of MBR and its operation.
• Recovery/recycling of more than 50% water.
• Sludge reduction by drying/incineration.
• Goal is to go towards Zero waste.
• On-going problem solving to ensure a smooth 24 hour operation in manufacturing. Troubleshoot major and minor issues to direct solutions for department(s). Identify root cause of issue and take corrective actions necessary to correct current issues and /or prevent production related future issues.
• Work closely with maintenance, manufacturing and engineering to resolve machine downtime, scrap and quality related issues.
• Visually monitor the production floor daily to ensure 5-S is practiced at all times.
• Initiate, lead, suggest and mentor CIP (Cost Improvement) activities in assigned departments to ensure safe production in the most efficient and cost effective method possible. This includes the preparation and analysis of departmental documentation to ensure continuous improvement goals are being met.
• Collect, analyze, and present / distribute manufacturing data as needed related to assigned department.
• Supervise requisition of all operational supplies, material and equipment in accordance with the company approved purchasing polices.
• Prepare operational department budget and long term investment measures in close co-operation with the General Manager.
• Ensure manpower requirements are adjusted quickly and efficiently to ensure overtime reduction and idle time elimination.
• Ensure that all procedures are being followed in accordance with the Safety, Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, and Finance Departments.
• Communicates frequently with internal and external contacts on various issues in order to effectively manage the departments.
• Co-ordinate with General Manager for championing, developing and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge about related methodologies/ activities (Lean, Six Sigma) across all areas of the site with a strong focus on manufacturing and operations. The end-purpose is to improve the real result key performance indicators (Safety, cost, material efficiency, quality, and inventories) of the site.
• Run own improvement projects delivering value to the organization
•Ensures the safety plant operation and products are manufactured in accordance with quality standard and targeted objectives.
•Having knowledge of working of different chemical engineering based equipments.
•Provides technical advises and operation instructions to supervisors for corrective action and job completion. Passes request to maintenance personnel for repair and maintenance assistance.
•Follow up or job implementation to ensure that such work is carried out with a maximum efficiency and that down time for plant and equipment is kept to a minimum.
•Examines performance and maintenance problems of a variety of equipments and ensures that maintenance assistance is provided for the solution of such maintenance problems.
•Liaisons with personnel of the operation, production and engineering for the implementation of corrective maintenance procedures for subsequent repair.
•Includes providing them with special information or precautions to be followed, approving cold, hot and hazardous permits.
Initiates creative technical ideas and contribute those ideas aimed to improve quality, safety, operability and cost reduction and for plant modification.
•Includes evaluating change from technical point of view and submitting for review and approval by the manager. Monitors the implementation of approved modification.
•Plans and schedules for turn around maintenance requirements. Includes identifying the need, preparing the list of work to be carried out, follows up for spare parts availability, allocating specification tasks to subordinates and coordinating the preparation of basic schedules safety rules and procedures and ensuring the safe and timely completion.
•Determines proper actions and controls the unexpected breakdown of plant equipment and operation cease. Includes preparing drastic evaluation and case study to resolve the problem.
•Recommends serial of actions for manager review and approval.
