• Deployed Wi-MAX in major cities (Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam).
VoIP Project Manager, STC Sep. 04 - Jun. 06
• Deployed a corporate VoIP solution covering main campuses around the kingdom.
• Served the remote Al-Jawal customer sales offices.
• Prepared a case study for servicing key accounts customers through VoIP.
• Coordinated with Marketing and Sales to create a business model to serve the new customer base.
• Provided professional knowledge for IP-4 (65 Million SAR project involving 3 vendors - Lucent, Nortel and Cisco). Areas of responsibilities covered all life cycles of the project - from tendering and design all the way to project close-out.
• Issued RFPs and evaluated all of 2003 and 2004 data network projects.
• Negotiated and prepared agreements for closeouts of all pending data projects with vendors. Closed in total 12 projects with a financial value of 660 Million SAR.
• Studied and presented solutions such as introducing a new multi-service switch, implementing enterprise VoIP, Ethernet as an access technology.
• Working with the Strategic Planning team to set the network direction for the coming 5 years.
• Team leader for testing the Internet switches and transmission equipment installed in the IP-2B project; the major Internet core & access project in the Kingdom.
• Prime for testing all of the PSTN Lucent 5ESS switches installed in the TEP-6 project.
• Provided engineering support for Ericsson GSM equipment, Alcatel FBWA equipment, and Macdonald Douglas aircraft equipment.
• Evaluating and preparing new projects proposals from a technical standpoint (i.e., test issues, capabilities, requirements, timing, manpower, plans, etc …).
