Total years of experience :16 years, 11 Months
Cognyst International is a specialised Consulting Group for Utilities, well recognised all around the World and its partners are some of the top advisors in the Utilities field, recognised by governments and the industry in general.
As General Manager of Cognyst International Qatar, some of the achievements were to establish the Middle East branch, a market unexplored so far by Cognyst, Also Cognyst had been awarded three projects in Kuwait, Qatar and Oman, all with the National Utilities Companies of each Country (MEW, Kahramaa and EHC, respectively). The projects’ value is around US 5 Million.
Worked as a consultant in such projects in Quality Management, Project Management following the PMI methodology and Policies and Procedures advice.
Worked in setting up ERP and CRM systems for the internal use of the company to manage the Accounting, Finance, Contacts, Policies and Quality of the company.
Provided Business Consulting to each one of the projects, particularly in Quality Management, Business Modelling and Policies and Procedures, as the nature of the works would impact the operation of the business, not only the technical aspect of it.
Worked as a Business Development Consultant with local and international groups in creating their full business plans, with marketing, financing, operations and local data, as these companies are either opening new businesses or are relocating in the Middle East.
Part of the consulting included creating business networks, financing opportunities, and market research for new or already existing companies from abroad that are looking to relocate or open a Middle East office.
Some of the companies that have worked with are in the following industries:
Fit-Out and Construction Technologies
Iron and Steel
Franchises
General Trading
Food and Beverages
Also worked with franchises that are interested in coming to Qatar specifically and don’t know how to turn the opportunity into a reality.
VTU de Colombia is a Company in the telecommunications sector, bringing payment technologies through mobile phones, using the phone network as a money platform connecting vendors and users that otherwise don’t have access to banking and electronic transactions.
As part of VTU de Colombia, I worked in the Projects Department, where we faced many challenges due to the exponential growth of the business in terms of transactions per minute, increasing the stress on the IT systems and the data management processes that were being used by the company. The company were reaching 250, 000 transactions per minute. Our solution was to redesign the policies, processes and procedures of the entire company so we could have a strategy for the data management.
As a result for this project, we implemented an ERP Solution (AccPac), a CRM application (VTiger) and HRM application (Orange HRM). We use other tools for the development of the project, such as Process Maker, Sparx and TM1 for Business Intelligence. All of these solutions were put in place and operational.
