Prior to business school, Daniel was a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton on the Strategy and Organization Team. He supported several high profile clients including most recently the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Department of Energy. As the lead of several workstreams at DHS, he managed the daily workload of other consultants, ensured team members followed quality control guidelines and led all client data requests associated with his workstreams. Mr. Cole further contributed to the team by devising strategies to streamline operational processes.
To assist new consultants on the project to better understand the challenges of the client environment, he developed a Professional Development Series (PDS). The PDS was a monthly case study series that allowed members on the project to present a case study of a challenging client request to the team. The team brainstormed and identified best practices for solving the case study. This gave team members an opportunity to enhance their deck writing and presentation skills while creating best practices for the team to utilize in future situations.
He has lived and studied in several states in the US, as well as studied in the UAE-Dubai, Burkina Faso, France, Ghana, The Netherlands, and Shanghai.
Prior to joining Booz Allen Hamilton, Mr. Cole worked for the University of Massachusetts Amherst in various capacities. Following graduation, he served as the Constituent Relations Associate. In this role, Mr. Cole cultivated new prospective donors by meeting alumni and engaging them in meaningful discussions about philanthropy. By exceeding expectations and developing a donor pipeline almost twice as robust as expected, Mr. Cole was promoted to Assistant Director of Development.
