Responsible to deliver business performance through development and execution of the E-commerce strategy and overall online marketing plan for United Arab Emirates and Sultanate of Oman. Managing excellent relationships with external agencies to ensure that the online visibility meets the business needs. Overall responsibility for partnerships with third parties to secure Marketing campaigns, opportunities and funding and to ensure the required KPI targets are met.
Took the additional responsibility of rolling out the new dynamic responsive website in 10 markets.
Managed and marketed the online direct sales channel, specifically for the country Oman maintaining its position as key direct sales channel for the airline, managed to drive qualified traffic to the website in order to increase the conversion rate and online penetration for Qatar Airways.com - Oman.
Additional responsibility: Responsible for the E-Commerce business for Kuwait for an interim period of 11 month in additional to Sultanate of Oman.
Responsible to build and position the new online business units www.visittradefirs.com and www.orbitpremiumholidays.com to B2C and B2B market in 16 major metros of India. Played a key role in developing and maintaining the company’s digital strategy for the new online business units. Handled supplier management and negotiations with leading airline and hotel consolidators to make the inventories available to B2B and B2C customers through IBE. Consolidated IBE, CRM and Finance software to enhance the service for online customers.
Additional responsibilities: Heading IT, CRM and Web Marketing team
In charge of Business development for the five strategic business divisions of the organisation: Telephony, Intelligent cable networking, Servers & Storage, E commerce division and Maintenance & Support team. Directly reporting to VP and CEO and managed a team of nearly 200+. Special emphasis on key account management, supplier management including supplier identification and acquisition, inventory management.
Sales, Execution and Implementation of Visittradefairs.com, Product development, Account Management, Supplier management, Revenue management, Technical enhancements for online portal, Online marketing activities.
NB: Visittradefairs.com is the online trade fair travel portal developed for Orbitz Corporate and Leisure Travels (I) Pvt. Ltd. - Trade Fair Tour division. The system is focussed on the independent business travellers who can fulfill all their travel requirements online.
Responsible for developing and implementing the online business strategies for the organization. Implemented the online business module for the flagship division - business tours for FIT with the URL www.visittradefairs.com. Implemented both B2C and B2B online modules for the customers including backend operation module and supplier login module.
I was also responsible for the online marketing and lead generation for the other business division of the organization including the premium leisure travel division, MICE division and Orbit Exhibitions.
www.visittradefairs.com awarded the best innovative product of the year at the travel trade fair - TTF 2011.
Responsible for the online marketing activities of the organisation to support the business divisions trade fair tours, premium leisure travel, MICE and Exhibitions divisions. The website of www.orbit-world.com was revamped with a new website. Handled successfully the ENL system, lead generation, enquiry management for all the business divisions.
