Lead the development & execution of the global sourcing strategies for High &Medium Voltage Motors in Asia Primarily for Electrical Steel & Lamination, Electrical Insulation, Copper Coil, Machining & Fabrication, and Commodities. Lead a Team of Senior Engineers, Staff Engineers to Evaluate and determine best cost and value position for purchased parts by Cost and Value Engineering levers and methods, Should costing for Casting, Forging, Machining & Sheet Metal Components, Calculate cost base lining and regular cost updates for components according to maturity of design. Evaluate cost impact of alternative technical options (materials, manufacture methods) during the product development process. Lead a team senior engineers and Manage holistic Air/Hydrogen/Water Turbo Generator Design development from evaluation and definition of requirements, Project Management (Project Initiation, Planning, Controlling & Monitoring) .Component Design (Stator, Rotor, Windings, Frame, DE & NDE, Collector & exciter assemblies, ), FEA Analysis, Rotor dynamics, Design calculation, DFMEA, DFM, testing and cooperation with manufacturing, Field Service & Procurement by ensuring cost and operational efficiency and alignment with business objectives. Manage global Product Design reviews, VAVE & Product change Management. Coordinate with global engineering teams for Manufacturing & Field issues. Work with manufacturing and suppliers to achieve producible, quality designs at the lowest possible cost. Review CAPA & DFMEA reports prepared for new products.
