This includes Benchmarking & Teardown Analysis, Should Costing of Stator & Rotor Core, Copper Windings, Heat Exchanger Enclosures (Fabrication), Die casted Rotor, Machining etc, supplier selection, development, Pricing Negotiation and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance. Lead Localization & Early Supplier Involvement for new product development -NPD (High & Medium Voltage Motor) Projects with R&D, Implemented extensive early supplier involvement strategy involving more than 40 suppliers located in Asia to optimize designs for lowest costs resulting in purchased component cost reductions of 20-25 %.Coordinate with Testing, Manufacturing, R&D for New supplier Development (First Article Inspection, VDA, pre assessment etc). Lead a team senior engineers and Manage holistic Air/Hydrogen/Water Turbo Generator Design development from evaluation and definition of requirements, Project Management (Project Initiation, Planning, Controlling & Monitoring) .Component Design (Stator, Rotor, Windings, Frame, DE & NDE, Collector & exciter assemblies, ), FEA Analysis, Rotor dynamics, Design calculation, DFMEA, DFM, testing and cooperation with manufacturing, Field Service & Procurement by ensuring cost and operational efficiency and alignment with business objectives. Manage global Product Design reviews, VAVE & Product change Management. Coordinate with global engineering teams for Manufacturing & Field issues.
