Psychosocial Support Building at Care International

Job description: our team of volunteers established a data base of the Syrian refugees in Jordan and we worked with soft and hard copies.
Participating as a volunteer in a Committee that considered in organizing & managing the lectures and sessions which were held in Psychosocial Support Building which is a sub institution of Care International Organization.
Our role as a committee was not fixed in one mission but every member of the committee had the role to do something different & new.
We added new experience & skills to our personalities, the following is an illustration of our role:
- Receiving visitors & audience and copying there IDs and check that the name list include there names.
- Dealing with kids between five to ten years and this mission was more difficult than other, because that we have to control kids until the end of the session and each member of the committee has his own way and technique to deal with kids and also we obtain new experience & skills in this field.
- Developing our character in team; every member has his own mission but these missions were contributed and completed each other.

Emergency cash assistance & data entry & filing at CARE International

Duties
Lead the cash distribution team.
Distribute money (by ATM cards) for the beneficiaries using standard criteria, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and agreed formats.
Evaluate the beneficiaries and to determine their eligibility for specifically Emergency Cash assistance or not and verify information on other recommended services.
Report back regularly to the Supervisor and Psychosocial Advisor on trends in beneficiaries’ circumstances, needs, concerns and questions.
Helps and support reception staff in answering beneficiary concerns and questions, and help them if they have problem with the ATM card.
Build specific Excel sheet to document the information.
Ensure that the all information and data on the cases registered is kept
Advise cases of help and services available to them (information provision).


Achievements

All the problems with the cards and the beneficiaries were solved.
Made cash criteria to help us to distribution the cash assistance in easier way.
