ACCL International has been operating as a sub-contractor in the delivery of food service to the US delegates at US embassy of Kabul and its satellite security camps since 2015. I was hired as the first QA/QC personnel for this project in early 2016 and was later promoted to Regional Manager of the department in 2018. My achievements as manager are as follows:

• Spearheaded the development of a customized Quality Management System in the delivery of fresh, cold & dry foods uniquely selected for the delicate cuisine of ACCL’s client which awarded ACCL the ALiSS subcontract three times in a row.
• Was the Team leader in the authoring and implementation of HACCP & ISO 22000 for all four of ACCL’s warehouses in Afghanistan and the UAE.
• Innovated and was instrumental in the implementation of a Stock Control Software which is integrated with the company’s Quality Management System.
• Successful implemented CCPs & warehouse GMPs along ACCL’s supply-chain covering Europe, Africa, USA, Middle East and Central Asia which reduced loses due product damage and spoilage by more than 38% in 2017 and a further 7% in 2018.
• Was the key person in writing and implementation of corrective actions/remedial work plans which addressed deficiencies noted in facilities and field observations.

Quality Controller at ACCL International

• Authored the Quality Standards of all Fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and other cold stored food products imported and re-exported by the company. Further incorporated these quality standards into Pre requisites in the purchasing of the products.
• Chartered and implemented HACCP and schematic diagrams for the companies warehousing operation, receiving and dispatching of product.
• Researched and authored a paper on the use of Refractometry in the determination of shelf life in fresh fruits and vegetables. This method was endorsed and implemented in Afghanistan (ACCL In-house operations only). This method greatly reduced the amount of losses the company incurred as a result of spoilt fruits and vegetables. It further reduced the number non-conformance reports by 38%.
• Researched and introduced revolutionary methods in the in-transit chilled storage of fresh fruits and vegetables which increased the shelf life of product by up to 4 days whilst in transit.
• Researched and introduced the use of Sulphur Dioxide pads in prolonging the shelf life of strawberries. This method increased the shelf life of strawberries by about 4-day s whilst in storage

Production & Quality Manager at Dollar Tantalum Mining

• Coordinated and managed both production and quality operations in the processing of the Tantalum extract which was exported to USA, China & Germany.
• Authored and implemented key-turning solutions in the launching of the Benson mine project in Zimbabwe which generated over 2 million USD in revenue for the company during my tenure.
• Tailored biochemical methods of inspecting the Quality of Tantalum extract which increased efficiency and accuracy by 35%. These methods saved the company from loses significantly.

Quality Controller at Lyons

• Chartered the implementation of ISO 22 000: 2005 in the ice cream factory, which resulted in a 20% decrease in the incidences of ice cream mix and milk contamination.
• Authored and designed the microbial work surface and air composition schematics for four dairy processing factories which increased awareness of the highly contaminated zones in each factory hence increasing the efficiency of CIP.
• Evaluated and established a better suited stabilizer in the production of Ice cream, the incorporation of this new finding increased the quality and the heat- shock resistance of the product which in turn drastically reduced losses for the company.
• Oversaw the analysis of fatty acids, saturated and unsaturated fats by the use of headspace and gas chromatography.
• Coordinate the investigation of customer complaints, and then make relevant and fruitful recommendations to the Quality manager in bid to eliminate complaints.
• Assessment of Quality Assurance system, authoring and control of all Q/A documents.
• Training all the Food workers Occupational Health Hazard and Occupational Safety.
• Inspection of all incoming goods all outgoing products including export products (expiry date, packaging quality, supplier name and record maintenance).
• Enumeration of total colony count, yeast & molds and Enterobacteriaceae of received packaging material, raw milk and end- products.
• Assist Head Microbiologist and Quality Manager in statistical data collection for monthly reports and presentations

• Programmed production line inspection check time lines and procedures which increased the efficiency of the quality assessment exercise.
• Oversaw the labelling and the quality of the packaging to maintain the quality of the product.
• Key member in the establishment of Cleaning-In-Place procedures for boilers, tanks and pipes involved in the product manufacture.
• Expedited the efficiency of the purification of water by inspecting the reverse osmosis plant, analyzed and reported purity results to the Quality Assurance Manager.
