Responsibilities: Material Coordination: o Material take-off data entry and Purchase requisition generation using company's
in-house ERP.
o Identify the type of welds required in drawings and mark the correct weld joint
nos. against MTO items.
o Liaise and and co-ordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Production and QC regarding material issues as required.Supervise a team of Technical Assisstants for above functions.
Documentation: o Supervise Engineering Document control activities with respect to the classification, revision control, distribution, storage, archival and retrieval of
engineering deliverables (mainly for onshore projects)
o Provide document control guidelines based on Project Documentation
requirements to ensure client documentation requirements are met with.
o Handle/oversee bid and proposal related documentation.
Administration: o Addresses the administrative requirements of a 50 plus strong Engineering
department and liaises between departments like HR, Public Relations, Accounts,
Payroll, IT, Procurement.
Internal Auditing and Technical Library: o Collaborates with QA Department in Internal Quality Audits and Vendor Audits
based on ISO 9001:2008.
o Control and maintenance of a library containing quality and technical documents and literature like specifications and standards of international standard agencies like ASME, BSI, IEC, ASTM, ANSI, NFPA, IEEE, MSS etc.

Material Coordination: o Material take-off data entry and Purchase requisition generation using MIS's in- house ERP and co-ordination with Procurement, Warehouse, Production and QC regarding material issues as required.
o Also responsible for codification and induction of project specific and generic
material into the company inventory in MIS ERP system, on the basis of client
specification or industry standards.
Documentation: o Supervise Engineering Document control activities with respect to the classification, revision control, distribution, storage, archival and retrieval of
engineering deliverables.


o Check and ensure client documentation requirements are met with and all
engineering deliverables are meeting the project documentation guidelines set by the client's or the company's in-house documentation procedures.
o Follow-up on deliverables' due dates and update of Project Engineering Document
Registers using MIS' in-house Engineering Document Control programme.
o Handle/oversee bid and proposal related documentation for Engineering outputs on bids.
Administration: o Addresses the administrative requirements of a 50 plus strong Engineering
department and liaises between departments like HR, Public Relations, Accounts,
Payroll, IT, Procurement.
o KPI Charts and reports preparation for the management regarding productive
manpower utilization, manpower requirement forecast (planning) etc. and other
performance evaluation regarding timely completion of deliverables.
Technical Library: Oversee the control and maintenance of Engineering Technical
Library.

Other Material related responsibilities handled for MIS - Buyer - ENOC Refinery
I have additionally worked as a Buyer/Purchaser reporting to the Purchase and
Warehouse Coordinator of ENOC Refinery, Dubai on deputation from MIS for 1-1/2
years under MIS' manpower supply contract to ENOC.
Under this assignment I have had pretty good exposure to all Logistical activities. I
was responsible for obtaining vendor quotes, price tabulations, negotiation
activities, delivery expediting. Since I was the sole person assigned to that area I
could gather some experience in inventory / stock control and warehouse issue and receipt activities as well.
Major Projects worked in: - Amoco - Inlet Compression project Phase I & II. (1997-98)
