Assigned to the construction site for a 1390 MW ISCCPP as part of the Owner’s Engineer (OE) team to supervise the construction activities of the EPC Contractor, General Electric.

Responsibilities include management & supervision of inspection for the installation, erection, pre- commissioning and testing of all plant piping and equipment, rotating equipment, welding and quality assurance. Also responsible for reviewing and providing input for comments approval of inspection results and commissioning procedures.

Managing Inspection of installation of 3 gas turbines (GE Frame 7FA.05); 1 steam turbines (GE); 9 H2 cooled generators (GE); 3 HRSG’s with duct burners, Diverter Dampers, Blast Stacks, Main Stacks; Fuel Gas Receiving Facilities; ASL and Distillate Oil unloading, forwarding, treatment and storage; 1 air cooled condensers (ACC’s); fin-fan coolers for CCW system; large, high-pressure pumps (e.g. boiler feed, condensate extraction), horizontal split casing, vertical and centrifugal pumps; motors, compressors, diesel engines / generators; HVAC and PAC units.

Activities involve managing inspection of placement, levelling and alignment, pre-grouting checks, coupling alignment, rotation (motor jog) tests, pipework fit-up and cold pull. Pipework line checks, hydrotesting, reinstatement and Mechanical Completion in preparation for flushing and system commissioning. Field welding and NDE procedures, WPS and WPQR review, pre and post weld heat treatment, RT, PT, MT and visual inspection in accordance with ASME B31.1. Preparation, categorisation and agreement of punch list items from inspection results and ensuring punch list clearing in a timely manner.
